LAMBS - Interview
Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Blackened Post-Hardcore band LAMBS from Italy, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
G: Our singer C. actually had the idea and we were all into it,so we chose LAMBS as our name. It has also a slightly religious background which can be quite interesting in my opinion, since we are all atheists.
C: …or agnostics! Lambs means innocents, an icon of purity that could be blood-tinged by covetous wolves. Behold, we are lambs among wolves or vice versa, you should always check the duality of human being.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
G: It has never been a matter of will to play a certain genre, and it will never be, honestly. Lambs is our main creative outlet and it speaks for us. The material that we release reflects what we feel and what we think, and without ending up into any rethoric rant about our music, that's just what comes out when we write music really.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
G: Not really. We got around each other to form a band, and we had the chance to know each other pretty well in the last couple years.
C: We are all part of the same background of local gigs.
4. Each band member favourite band?
G: Tough question as I don't really have a favourite band. But if I had to pick one,it would be The Ocean for sure.
C: It's hard to pick one,but I'd say Neurosis.
G: Alice In Chains for me.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
G: We have a weird songwriting process. I'm not gonna get too deep into details but I'd say that it depends on how I feel,at times songs just flow and it all works fast, while at times it takes weeks to get the ball rolling until it's all linked together.
6. Where was your last gig?
G: Our last show was in Treviso with Zolle,Zeit and Kirlian. Cool show, great location and we had a great time with our buds.
7. Where would you like to act?
G: We're planning a european tour with Abaton, a cool band from Forlì, and we're basically trying to play as much as possible all around Italy and Europe too.
C: I’d like to hit UK, honestly.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
G. There are lots of artists we'd like to play with, it's not really possible to list them all. C. Strong bands, good friends.
9. Whom not?
G: Same as before!
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
G: Stage fright has never been an issue. Music is just about saying something in front of someone, and I've never had problems with that.
C: As singer, my view is totally different. I can have a variety of emotions in each shows but the most important thing is have a good feeling with my own band.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
G: Just like before, hard question. We all listen to a lot of different music,we all play or have played in lots of different bands. All I can say is that we have a solid punk and rock background.
C: Cattle Decapitation and Anaal Nathrakh are perfect examples of kick-ass bands with strong attitude and skills.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
G: We haven't received any weird requests really.Even though a guy wrote us on facebook because we weren't "post hardcore enough" and that in his opinion we chose to describe our sound like that just to have more fans or some shit, ahaha.
13. What do you think of your fans?
G: We don't have a fan base really, so I don't know. But the people enjoying our music range from experimental music fans and weirdos to old school hardcore guys,so go figure.
C: Do we have fans?!? what a pretty thing!
14. What do you think of our site?
G: It seems quite interesting to say the least!
15. Something to add?
G: our first EP, "Betrayed From Birth" is due to be released by Drown Within Records on September 1st. If you're into dark hardcore and straight forward, no bullshit music, just pre-order a copy here: https://goo.gl/foKHkR
