Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Punk Rock/Melodic Hardcore band Never Draw Back from Spain, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

At the beginning, our name was "Think Against Required", but when Alfon joined the band, we decided to change the name, we suggested a lot of names and we finally chose "Never Draw Back", because it represents a philosophy of life in which we believe.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

During the first 6 months, we wrote a lot of songs that were very different from one another, some were "Metalcore" others were "Melodic Hardcore", and for the vocal melodies it was very confusing, so we decided to focus on one genre to write new songs. This genre has a lot of possibilities, hard guitars, gangs outs, breakdowns, but at the same time, we can play beautiful melodies and pop choruses, this genre has a lot of references to other styles of music that we also like.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, Gonzalo and Javi were friends since they were 4 years old. Fabio and Jalfer (our first drummer) were neighbours, and Alfon played the drums in a band where Fabio played guitar.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Alfon: NOFX

Álvaro: Misery Singnals

Fabio: Blink 182 Gon: Blink 182 Javi: New Found Glory

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

In general, our lyrics talk about having a very positive mental attitude in life. This philosophy is very important to face problems; look around us and show everybody that it doesn’t matter how big the barriers that we have to confront are, the most important thing is how big you are. In our new album "Decisions", which was released this July 1st, the lyrics talk about personal experiences, things which we disagree on in this world and things that are happening around us, but always focused on turning the situation around with a positive mental attitude.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was in Madrid, with the French band "Forus" and "Greed Of Men" from Madrid. It was a awesome night of fast melodic hardcore.

7. Where would you like to act?

In Spain, we would like to play in "Resurrection fest". We made the final for their band contest twice, but weren't lucky enough to win and play the actual festival. Our dream since we were kids has been to play at "Warped Tour", who wouldn't? hehehe

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

mmmmm We've had the luck of playing with a lot of bands that we loved since we were young, like No Use For A Name, Mest, Strung Out... So we already have reached our dream somehow... But, if we could choose, it would be great to share a stage with New Found Glory, The Story So Far or Four Year Strong. Once again… Who wouldn't? haha

9. Whom not?

We have no enemies, and we don't want to have them... But we probably wouldn't play with some bands that were assholes with us again.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

All of us have suffered from stage fright at some point, but once we're on stage, we forget about it and enjoy.

A tip? as our song "Postcards to Wilson" says: "And I close my eyes, face the fear, feel the crowd, noisy exited people waiting for third round, difficult to explain, black and white dreams will be colored by themselves, the pure meaning of strength, don't let this shit end". That basically means: “don't be scared, and live your moment” :)

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Probably New Found Glory or Set Your Goals, but all listen to different kinds of music, So we have a lot of different influences.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We are a small band, so when we received a message from a fan asking us to play in Australia, LA, or Austria, it was so weird to read because it’s something that we can't even concieve today.

13. What do you think of your fans?

In Spain this genre is not too popular, so the scene is very small and we don't have many fans. Now it seems that something in moving in the scene again. In our last few shows a lot of new people have come out to see us.

14. What do you think of our site?

It’s fucking awesome to see sites like yours, that promote bands from all over the world (like us), with a non-profit interest, just for the love for music and to help the bands. We are very greatful guys!

15. Something to add?

Just let you know that we have released a new album called "Decisions" that is streaming for free on our bandcamp (https://neverdrawback.bandcamp.com) and on our youtube chanel (youtube.com/NeverDrawBackBand)

Thankyou very much for the interview, and thankyou for sharing our EP on your site!! Cheers NDB
