Under Possession - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Deathcore band Under Possession from UK, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Well Jim come up with the name, we originally had a list of names and Under Possession felt the best.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?  

It's one of our favourite genres to play, so we felt it was right to play in this genre

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Yeah Jim and I Was in a Metal-core Band called Tessellate before and we met Harvey after. Harvey originally played guitar and we found out he played drums too, so we auditioned him and he got the part.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

My (Alexx, Vocals) is After the burial, not sure why Dream metal/Djent is my favourite genre. Jim is Mad about Slipknot, we mean he is obsessed, some riffs he writes has a very slipknot like vibe to them. Harvey's favourite band is Bullet for My valentine.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

My (Jim, lead guitar) Guitar Playing is inspired by Jim Root (Slipknot) I'm inspired by the rich tone and melodic guitar sound he created in the band, I like the idea of the melody and the heaviness of it. Alexx's lyrics are written around His past experiences, Dreams and Nightmares

6. Where was your last gig?  

We haven't performed anywhere as a band yet but we are beginning to organise gigs ready for our E.p Release.

7. Where would you like to act?

We would like to play at O2, alexx saw iron maiden there and he thought that was an amazing venue. Personally I'd (Jim) like to play Download festival, Hellfest or warped tour, but we all also enjoy small Venues We have a fantastic Alternative Bar Called Asylum (Chelmsford, Essex) it's fantastic, I played my first show there and the staff are so welcoming.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

I'd (Harvey) like to feature with an underground metal band called Kill the freak. Jim would love to feature A Guitar solo in a Slipknot song, he'd also want to do A project with Jim Root! I'd (alexx)  love to work with Trivium Or Born of Osiris, both bands are awesome and I'd love to work with them

9. Whom not?

Personally (alexx) I wouldn't want to feature with capture the crown, I don't think there original, they have a couple of good songs.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I (Jim) get Nervous before a show but once I'm up there and I'm having fun it goes, But Alexx and Harvey don't get stage fright.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

After the burial, Bullet for my valentine, slipknot we have a few but there the main ones

12. What’s the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

Erm we've had a couple, a guy come up to Alexx in Tesco and asked if he was the vocalist in the band, he said yeah, and he stood there chatting to him about his favourite song and asked for a picture along side 50p. And one of the others is someone asked to Join the band dressed as a pink power Ranger.

13. What do you think of your fans?

You know what we love our fans they give us so much support and we really appreciate it you know, we can't wait to branch out to others and get them listening to our material.

We think it's fantastic it gives smaller bands to get there stuff out there and promoted, we have been so happy to do this interview, so THANKYOU.
