Valleys - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore band Valleys from USA, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We had just ended a band of another name, one of the previous guitarists spoke on a new idea and the name just kind of came out. He went on to explain that it stands for the constant struggle we all face with high and low points in our lives, that we all go through Valleys.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

We don’t feel like there any limitations here, we can write some crazy riff and transition into some sweet cleans to really get your feels stuck in it. We’ve never really been keen on the whole genre thing, we just write music we love.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Some of us did, Our vocalists met outside of a show one night. Besides Jayson, everyone has pretty much lived in the same area for some time now.

4. Each band member favorite band?  

Jayson: Underoath

S: Periphery

C: Memphis Mayfire

Robert: Periphery

Mikey: The Plot in You

R.J.: Counterparts

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

It’s about the emotion behind it, the raw consistency of emotion at its most creative that draws us to write music.

6. Where was your last gig?  

It was “summer metal fest” in Wilmington N.C.

7. Where would you like to act?  

Europe, Australia, I mean where wouldn’t we!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

Definitely Spencer Sotelo, Ashe O’hara, or Tosin Abasi.

9. Whom not?  

I don’t think any of us would ever want Ronnie Radke on one of our songs lol

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Yeah, We’ve all had our battle with stage fright. Imagine an empty room, in this room you can let go of all of that emotion you don’t tell anyone about and create something beautiful from it.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

Elitist, Erra, La Dispute, Underoath, and The Contortionist. It varies from member to member.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

 Jayson had someone ask him to sing to them while they used the bathroom once, that was pretty funny.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

They are the driving force, Fans are family man. Without them, none of this would have been possible.

14. What do you think of our site?
