Close To The Flame - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Post-Hardcore band Close To The Flame from USA, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We were trying to find the the right band name that would describe who we were as a band and what our music was about so after going through so many names we finally came across close to the flame and it instantly connected to everyone in the band.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

It's my favorite style of music and the energy and performances of my favorite bands in this genre were always the best

3. Each band member favourite band?  

Ric: Miss May I, HIM, Pink Floyd, The Killers, Led Zeppelin, Metallica.

Jaime: Judas Priest, Metallica, Issues, Dance Gavin Dance, The 1975

Aj: Chelsea Grin, The Zac Brown Band, Thy art is murder, Asking Alexandria, Memphis May Fire.

Joey: August Burns Red, Avenged Sevenfold

4. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Well majority of our music is written by Ric, our lead guitarist. He will basically write the skeleton and then send it over to me and I'll tell him what I like/dislike and from there he will continue to fine tune and then we put down lyrics and then we got a new one hit wonder.

5. Where was your last gig?

Thirsty monkey.

6. Where would you like to act?  

O2 arena in the UK and rock and roll hall of fame.

7. Whom would you like to feature with?  

Ric: HIM vocalist Ville Valo, to sing on one of our tracks and Dani Filth from Cradle of Filth as well as Brandon Flowers from the Killers.

Jaime: I would love for Brendon Urie to do some sort of vocals for a song. That would be sick.

Aj: Oliver Sykes

Joey: Asking Alexandria, Avenged Sevenfold, The Word Alive

8. Whom not?  

Kanye West.

9. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Focus on the performance and have fun Don't worry about the crowd at first, just have as much fun as you can and really get into the performance. Practicing in front of a mirror really helps as well.

10. What bands have inspired you the most?  

Ric: Miss May I, HIM, Pink Floyd, The Killers, Led Zeppelin, Metallica

Jaime: I think even as a kid classic rock has always been something that inspired me to get in to music

Aj: Musicians themselves in any band or genre just the fact they get to do what they love has inspired me to do what I love.

Joey: Avenged Sevenfold, August Burns Red, Deftones, Ghost.

11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

Ric: I signed a drumstick for a fan who got it from a different bands drummer.

Jaime: Nothing I can think of at the moment

Joey: No comment.

Aj: I don't have anything interesting haha

12. What do you think of your fans?  

Our fans are great! Having support from people who just know us cause of our music, means more than they will ever know.

13. What do you think of our site?  

You have a great site and it's definitely something to be proud of.
