Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Deathcore band Corivalist from USA, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We wanted something different, as well as a word that would describe us, as a band. Corivalist  is based off of an 18th century word corival, meaning a challenger. We want to challenge ourselves  as artists and want to push ourselves to make our own unique mark in Deathcore.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Brandon: When I was 14 in 2006, Ben was playing guitar in a band and approached me after I was leaving Jazz band practice, we went  to the same highschool, and said he had a band and they were looking for a bassist and wondered if I would be interested. I was  already down, I checked out the band, and fell in love with a sound that I had never really heard before. I quickly learned the material, and  then we were out playing shows. Live; the vibe, the way people respond to art that you've created, it's intense, addictive. Heavy music is so passionate  so electric, I wouldn't want to play any other style of music.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Brandon: I knew Ben other than that, no. I was working a construction job and had to make a supply run, inside of the store I noticed this dude (Patrick)  wearing a deathcore shirt, I approached him and asked if he played heavy music and told him about this project I was working on, he was down to come check it out.  Julian I found on a 1am google search that I knew wouldn't go anywhere but figured why not and searched deathcore drummers in NC, his ad was the first and only one I contacted. We jammed once and felt a connection and the rest is history to be written!

4. Each band member favourite band?

Ben enjoys bands like BTBAM, progressive techy stuff. Patrick listens to bands like Miss May I, that metalcore. Julian digs bands like cannibal corpse, abominable putridity,: Deathmetal and slam. Myself (Brandon) I’ve always been into bands like Demolisher, Acacia Strain, Molotov Solution. We each bring a different aspect but makes up for some fun writing.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

For us as a band, we are inspired by life and the ebbs and flows with it, other artists that push themselves to write, original good music, and enjoying what we are doing – we don’t push or force anything, we try and approach everything as organically as possible!

6. Where was your last gig?

Corivalist is a brand new band, we have been announced since about the end of May. We have a couple of tracks we are finishing up and then we plan on splittin’ pavement!  P.s. We’ve all played shows for many years, haha, so we aren’t rooks coming into this!

7. Where would you like to act?

Anywhere people who listen to Deathcore would come out and have a good time

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

It’d be tight to have Jamie Hanks (IDW) or Beyond Deviation. If you don’t know what they are, mind blowing vocals, and ridiculously heavy music.

9. Whom not?

E.L.E. Whosever down, we’re down!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

If the people in the crowd have no idea who you are, what you're about,  show them how you want them to remember you.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Bands that inspire our sound, Ion Dissonance, Demolisher, cannibal corpse, traitors.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Nothing yet.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Brandon: To think of having fans, is pretty crazy. If somebody really digs the music that we write, it means the world to me.  I love seeing people get into our stuff and finding favorite parts. It’s my passion, its cool when people feel it

14. What do you think of our site?

Very awesome site y'all! Really dig the layout and how you can search through genres and even some niche genres haha very cool stuff!

15. Something to add?
