Everyday Sidekicks - Interview

Everyday Sidekicks Online Promo Shot

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Post-Hardcore band Everyday Sidekicks from UK, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The band had a few names previous to Everyday Sidekicks, it too us ages before we actually decided on everyday sidekicks. the name came from when we were all just chatting brainstorming ideas. the old frontman came up with the band name Everyday People. whilst the drummer had the name “the Sidekicks” going in his head. so they combined them and Everyday Sidekicks was born!

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We Love the idea of playing music where the possibilities are endless. we get that most genres can do this obviously but we feel that we had a very good connection with music that was fun and poppy but also music that was heavy and made you want to mosh. so we chose a style where we could go anywhere and everywhere and really learn who we are! we feel we’ve found that in our New EP “The Things I've Seen"

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Archie new of Tim, Josh and Sam because of previous bands he had been in, but Tim josh and Sam all met each other at school! mat is the wild card in the situation as we found him through a friend but he instantly bonded with us and became part of the family

4. Each band member favourite band?

Archie: A Day To Remember/LetLive

Tim Brown: Architects/Northlane

Josh Pasley: NeckDeep/Bring Me The Horizon

Sam Hughes: Enter Shikari/The Story So Far

Mat Capper: Periphery/Manchester

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We Write our songs through Everything from life lessons to Good times. we feel as a band that its very important to make sure that your music is an extension of who you are as people and that if its personal to you then the music means a lot more to those who listen to it.. and cool guitar riffs…who doesn’t love a cool riff?

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was in Bristol before we left for tour around the UK!

7. Where would you like to act?

We would love to play reading.Tthat's always been a dream of ours from when we started as a band and the day we achieve it we will probably be very emotional

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

A Day To Remember, LetLive, While she Sleeps, Parkway Drive, Architects, Bring Me The Horizon, You Me At Six.

9. Whom not?

Rolf Harris

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Surprisingly none of us have ever had a problem really(mat said “were all pretty cool cats”) but in my own words(Archie) id say that always give it everything. its surprising how much people dont realise that you look more like a dick if you stand on stage and look like you’ve sh*t yourself than if you over do it, pretend that your performing to your bedroom wall and theres none else in the room!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Asking Alexandria Blink 182 A Day To Remember Lostprophets… LetLive Slipknot Architects Parkway Drive

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

An Autograph…THEYRE WORTHLESS TO PEOPLE AS NOONE KNOWS US!

13. What do you think of your fans?

Every Band says the same thing about fans, but honestly we love them. without the ones we have we would have lost hope and gave up years back, but the continued support we’ve had has brought us out of the dark and really helped us grow. Thank you.

14. What do you think of our site?

I'd take you out to dinner if i could.

15. Something to add?
