Inanimate Prognosis - Interview
Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Deathcore band Inanimate Prognosis from USA, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
Actually, funny story with that. When we first started as a full band we were huge Shadows of Mordor addicts and thats where we received our name Gravewalker.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
Honestly, it wasn't even what we had planned for this band to be Down-Tempo. I met our guitarist Brendan through the guitarist who was originally was playing for us and him and I just clicked musically he had the full ability to record and he was hella solid at just writing his own material so he wrote our entire EP while I wrote the lyrics and crushed out the vocals.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Trenton and I were good buddies before hand. Our drummer I met through Trenton and same for Brendan, but once they left to pursue other musical endeavors Brendan and I decided we would still keep this thing rolling alongside our other band Inanimate Prognosis.
4. Each band member favorite band?
Well, seeing how its just the two of us now. Dakota: I have such a wide variety of music and hardly listen to any deathcore/down-tempo honestly. My all time favorite bands are Decapitated, Misery Index, and Alice in Chains. Brendan: Fuck..i'm going to have to go with Alice and Chains also and Hopsin.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
I think what sets us apart from other bands is our purpose isn't really for the fame we do it because we love what we do. It doesn't matter if there is 5 people to 2000 people at a show. We write because we enjoy having fun. We love doing it to suppress our boredom and overall we just love pleasing our supporting fans.
6. Where was your last gig?
Actually, we have yet to play a gig as Gravewalker literally August 1st was our first show in Mansfield, Ohio for our other band Inanimate Prognosis. We knew that people really enjoyed what Gravewalker had to offer so we played one of our personal favorite tracks from this band "Rest in Shit".
7. Where would you like to act?
Dakota: I'm totally up for house shows or basement shows. I think that would be rad as hell. We've talked to some cool kids who really want us to come to Chile. South America would be sick as hell.
Brendan: I'd also agree with someones basement, Indonesia. Canada. Anywhere seems cool to us.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Dakota: Thats an easy one for me and it will happen eventually, but my buddy Devin Sockwell from Feign he is my partner in crime. I love that dude.
Brendan: Alex Terrible, Cam Argon, Jon Huber, or Ian Bearer.
9. Whom not?
Anyone who carries the rock star attitude. We fucking hate that shit. So if you are that band who believes your shit doesn't stink and you are better than those whom you are playing in front of stay the hell out of our faces.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
As a vocalist i suffer from that shit so don't think you are alone. My tip for you is the moment you start feeling that take a deep breath. Look at your surroundings and tell yourself, "i'm going to go up there and fucking kill it". I do that and it seems to help me. You just have to believe in yourself. Once you initiate it. It all gets better in time.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Dakota: Molotov Solution, Through the Eyes of the Dead, and Misery Index
Brendan: Vulvodynia, Slaughter to Prevail, Eighty Thousand Dead, Viraemia
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Dakota: I personally haven't been asked for much truthfully.
Brendan: Yeah, me either. Maybe we suck?
13. What do you think of your fans?
WE LOVE THEM. Never forget that and you know who you all are. We appreciate everything you have down for either Gravewalker or Inanimate Prognosis. Without you we wouldn't be shit, so thank you all so much for sharing our band page and preaching the word of our establishment!
14. What do you think of our site?
You all are great and thank you so much for letting us be apart of this amazing interview. It was really fun.
