Owleye - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore/Post-Hardcore band Owleye from USA, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Our old vocalist and our guitarist DJ were tossing around ideas and we liked I'll Lie, but it was already taken or something and the name Owleye started to grow on us. Plus we all love owls.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We chose this genre because we all grew up with it, along with hard rock, classical, and jazz. We feel this genre is the most organic and emotionally raw, it has the most passion and energy which we love.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Dave and Brad knew each other since elementary school, and DJ knew brad since middle school. Frank met Dave and Brad in high school and later met DJ. We all knew Tim from the scene.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Tim (Vocals)- Underoath, Cartel, Bring Me the Horizon

DJ (Guitar)- Saosin, Underoath, Avenged Sevenfold

Brad (Bass)- The Bled, Norma Jean, Everytime I Die, Dance Gavin Dance

Frank (Drums)- Haste the Day, Greeley Estates, Farewell

Dave (Guitar)- Avenged Sevenfold, Green Day, Courage My Love

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

We write about life in general, old and new feelings, our own outside thoughts and theories, and so on.

6. Where was your last gig?

The Gothic.

7. Where would you like to act?

Wherever, whenever! Pluto or some shit.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Spencer Chamberlan.

9. Whom not?  

Riff Raff.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Yes but you just gotta do it! Cause everyone knows the end product is totally worth it smile emoticon

11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Tim's sweaty shirt, Some girl ran up to Dave once and whispered in his ear, "You made me so wet.." and then ran away.

12. What do you think of your fans?  

We love em'! They're the shit haha and incredibly supportive and they the throw the fuck down with us.

13. What do you think of our site?

It's bomb, you guys are fucking killing it!
