Phantoms - Interview
Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore band Phantoms from UK, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
Originally Phantoms was intended to be a solo project of our vocalist, Louis-Paul. He wanted a name with a plural so it sounded like a band. Phantoms just had a nice ring to it and seemed easy for consumers to remember.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
The Idea was incorporate our love of Pop Rock of Metal. But most of our sound is just the product of writing and seeing what came natural to all f us.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Louis-Paul, Graham and Reuben have actually known each other for over 15 years we’ve known George for around 7 so we were already great friends before the band.
4. Each band member favourite band?
Louis-Paul’s is I am Abomination, George’s is Union J, Graham’s is Attila and Reuben’s is Alexisonfire so very diverse.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Oh anything really! For example “Tick Tick Bang” is about a fresh start but then “Toy Shop” is about sleeping with an older woman.
6. Where was your last gig?
We actually haven’t played a show as a band yet as we have only really been doing this since December 2014. We hope we can hit the stage soon!
7. Where would you like to act?
We have a few favourites from playing in previous bands such as The Square in Essex but I think the big one would be to play the big stage at the Southampton Guild Hall as it’s our home town and we’ve seen loads of our favourites play there. But to come back in a few years to see a crowd full of kids from our home town would be incredible.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
We want to really support our local scene and will be looking into collaborating with other local bands in the future. It would also be amassing to work with some of our favourite bands and even our favourite pop artists.
9. Whom not?
Ian Watkins.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
We are all pretty confident. The trick is to remember your doing what you love and to just have as much fun as you possibly can.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Bring Me the horizon are a big one as they have worked real hard to get where they are and have scored a lot of air time in the UK and that aint easy for alternative bands.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
We’ve had a couple of requests to play shows in other countries. Seeing as we don’t even have a full set list yet and have only released 3 demos it would be impossible. One day though!
13. What do you think of your fans?
They are our world. The few that we have managed to build up already have proven to be really kind and patient with us. We live to please the.
14. What do you think of our site?
It’s incredible to see a site dedicated to giving bands like ourselves a chance. We do everything we can to help out other bands and it is good to see someone else doing the same.
15. Something to add?
Please anyone who hasn’t, check out our EP and Like us on Facebook. We are going to be revealing a lot of exciting stuff this year.
