Set In Motion - Interview
Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Rock/Post-Hardcore band Set In Motion from Italy, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
Set in Motion was simply the less idiot idea we had among a tons of stupid ideas we thought about during a couple of months.
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
We didn’t want to, even if we all came from similar backgrounds and bands: this is the genre we felt we wanted to play and the way we do it is the only possible one for us.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
No. The idea of the band was born from people who knew each other, but the actual line up has been formed little by little when we all realised what we really wanted to do.
4. Each band member favorite band?
Fede, Underoath
Gabry, Emarosa
Mat, The Dillinger Escape Plan
Danu, Architects
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Her name is Claire
6. Where was your last gig?
In Genoa, with Destrage, an amazing Italian band.
7. Where would you like to act?
Definitely in California. We don’t know if it really works like this but the idea of swimming into the Ocean after the sound check, before a gig, really appeals us!
8.Whom would you like to feature with?
With Katy Perry, who wouldn’t like so?
9. Whom not?
With Gigi d’Alessio, an italian singer: we really hate him, he represents all that we hate of Italian music.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Yes, it was the first gig we made with the actual line up. We were in Switzerland and it was the drummer’s first time playing hardcore. Moreover, it was our first live together and we were pretty worried about what might have happened; when we went on the stage we really fucked everithing up. The only suggestion we can give against stage fright is: live experience! The sooner you start playing wrong, the sooner you leave worries and fears behind your back and … the sooner you play magically fine.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
A part from Dillinger that surprise us with every album they record, we prefere talking about some records that inspired us, not the bands themselves. For example “Define the Great Line” (Underoath), “Relativity” (Emarosa), “One” (Tesseract), “Deftones” (Deftones), “Periphery I” (Periphery).
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Nothing particular, just some pictures or shakes of the hands.
13. What do you think of your fans?
The few we have, have always been really kind to us, they are the reason that spurs us to keep going on with enthusiasm during our tough moments.
14. What do you think of our site?
We’re really excited to appear in such amazing site: where we always read interesting articles on bands we know and follow.
15. Something to add?
Thanks for the kind attention.
