A Time To Hope - Interview

In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Post-Hardcore band A Time To Hope  from France, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The name came on its own. We gave each others some ideas and at last, we kept A Time To Hope because it was the only name who wasn’t take.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

Because this style talks a lot to us and it’s also the music we love.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

For my part, I knew Anthony and Guillaume. It’s been a while that Anthony and I wanted to form a band together. So this is when we decided to jump ahead that we posted announces and looked for our first musicians and then we met Gilles and Vincent. Guillaume came later after our first drummer couldn’t stay with us.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Vincent -> Counterparts

Anthony -> A lot like birds

Gilles -> Rinoa

Guillaume -> Architects

Franck -> Emarosa (with Jonny craig)

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

For the lyrics, I  have my inspiration on my own problems and people close to me. About the music, we are really inspired by movies musics and ambient electronic music.

6. Where was your last gig?  

We played with Polar and Light Your Anchor at the Black Out in Montpellier. That was a really good show with great peoples, we had a really enjoyable moment.

7. Where would you like to act?  

We would really like to play UK, Germany, Russia, and of course, USA because this is where almost all get bands get recognition.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

We really want to play with Dance Gavin Dance, Architects and Bring Me The Horizon

9. Whom not?  

Tokyo hotel ahahahah

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

I’m the most stressed in the band. But once on stage, as the music starts to play, everything gets better. I don’t think there is any miracle solution.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

We are really inspired by Devil Sold His Soul, A Lot Like Birds and Emarosa (with Jonny Craig), because in each of this bands there is something getting us chilling and this is what we want to retranscribe in our musics.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

Nothing for the moment, we are waiting proposals ahaha.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

We thank them a lot to support us, go to our shows and encourage ourselves with all of their mail. We hope that community will grow.

14. What do you think of our site?  

I think this is deeply awesome that people like you help non-famous band to get a wider visibility. And I thank you for that
