Brochures - Interview
In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Metal/Hardcore band Brochures from Sweden, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
We wanted our band name to be kind of simple but still have some meaning to it. We knew that people were judging us for playing this kind of music even though they don't know us, so we thought that it was kind of the same thing with foreign places and brochures. You read a brochure of a place and get an idea of how that place is, even though you've never been there. Basically the band name means just that; don't judge people before you get to know them.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
We wanted to play something heavy combined with sweet, sweet melodies so that people could cry while headbanging.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Robin and Robert has known eachother since before the band. We've had quite the line up change, so we've got to meet new friends as we switched members due to school and work situations and the like.
4. Each band member favourite band?
Robin Forsberg (screams and sings occasionally when he's feeling extra soft): Underoath Robert Lönnroos (guitar): Parkway Drive Joel Lööf (guitar): CHON Johan Engström (drums): The Amity Affliction
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Everytime we stub our toes we channel the energy into breakdowns and phat riffs.
6. Where was your last gig?
Our last gig was in Linköping at the university, it was beyond cool.
7. Where would you like to act?
We'd love to play in Australia and at the bottom of the Mariana Trench. Anywhere far away from home would be cool otherwise.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Winston McCall from Parkway Drive seems like a really nice guy, he is a huge inspiration to us and to be able to play with him would definitely be a dream come true.
9. Whom not?
No one really, we're open to all kinds of music. We like nice people.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
It's good to be nervous, try to relax and just go with the flow. Someone famous suggested handstanding to deal with nervousity, we aren't very acrobatic so we can't really comment on its legitimacy. We get nervous everytime before a show.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Parkway Drive and their documentaries are one of the biggest inspirations. If you haven't watched them you're in for a treat.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
To see us "in best position in unbelievable rockstar", it was a fan who wasn't very good with english. We were very flattered nevertheless.
13. What do you think of your fans?
We love our moms and anyone else who happen to like our band, thank you.
14. What do you think of our site?
It's so cool that you're spreading music in this scene. Unknown bands gets a chance to be listened to by people who maybe wouldn't have listened otherwise and that is super cool of you guys.
15. Something to add?
