Glock 203 - Interview
In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Beatdown Hardcore band Glock 203 from France, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
The name came about like this : we wanted to stay in the Hardcore "gimmick" so we went for the name of a weapon, thus came Glock. For the 203 part is a reference to my life in the US which had a pretty big influence on our "lyrics" and our theme.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
We wanted to play this style of music because we are pretty big fans of extreme music, it just felt natural to play something heavy!
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Yeah we all knew each other before playing together. We had all been parts of bands together (Hugo, the guitarist and I used to play in punk band) and different concert promotion groups.
4. Each band member favourite band?
On my part, I would have to say two of my favorite bands are Stab By Stab and Two Minutes For! Hugo is a pretty big fan of early Green Day and Bring Me The Horizon, Yoann our bass player is pretty big into Cannibal Corpse, Brijeria and Deftones and Jeff, our drummer is a huge fan of Nasty and Deez Nuts.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
When it comes to writing our songs, inspiration can come from pretty much anything. But most songs are based on personnal stories.
6. Where was your last gig?
Our last gig was at Bar Les Runes in Bordeaux, France. It's a pretty well known venue that has been very important to the underground music scene in Bordeaux!
7. Where would you like to act?
We would really love to play at Café Bluff in Heerlen, The Netherlands! It really is one of the temples of the european Hardcore Beatdown scene! It's actually in the works, but I won't say anything more!
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
We would really love to play with our good friends in Stab By Stab, they have been very important to us since the beginning and have helped us a lot! But otherwise we would love to play with bands such as Balboa, 0181 Beatdown, Another Bloodshed and Danforth!
9. Whom not?
We don't have limits in regards to music styles and bands we want to play with, so we really don't know any bands we wouldn't like to play with!
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Of course it happens to us to have stage fright, it's a pretty natural thing. To younger guys who want to start bands, our word of wisdom would be ti just stay self confident in what you're doing!
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Bands that have influenced us the most up until now are, like I've said earlier, Stab By Stab, but also Nasty and Xibalba and XkingX.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
For the moment we've never really been asked anything weird by our fans! But we'll wait and see what comes our way!
13. What do you think of your fans?
We really love our fans! In fact we've really been surprised by the big response to our music! Thanks to all of you guys out there!
14. What do you think of our site?
We really like your website! Great interviews! It's webzines like these that help the scene live!
15. Something to add?
STAY BEATDOWN BITCHES!!!
