In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Nintendocore solo project Got Item! from USA, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The name Got Item! is a reference to the video game "Mario Party 2" on Nintendo 64. Back when I was a kid, I used to play it all of the time so it was just a reference that I thought made for a decent name.

2.Why did you start this solo project?

Got Item! came to exist because of a desire I had to write heavy, electronic-influenced music. I've always loved metal and hardcore, but I never really had the chance to write in those styles until I started working under the Got Item! alias.

3.Why did you want to play this genre?

I listened to a lot of metal, metalcore, and post-hardcore in high school. Though I had heard the term "Nintendocore" thrown around on the internet, it wasn't until I started my first year of college that I was exposed to the genre. Listening to Monomate's "Grand Battle" album for the first time was the defining point where I decided to write in this style.

4. Your favourite band?

As weird as it may seem, my favorite band is The Beatles. They don't play much influence on the way my music sounds. There are many close contenders, but they're my number one.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I often find myself feeling inspired while listening to new bands. My biggest inspirations are often rooted in relation to the video games that I played in my youth. The stories, characters, and feelings of nostalgia that those games provide really help fuel my creativity.

6. Where would you like to act?

I have never performed live as Got Item! as of right now, but it's something that I've been working on putting together for a little while now. I would love to eventually perform along the west coast of the United States. After that, who knows!

7. Whom would you like to feature with?

I'd love to play shows with my good friends in The Brotherhood of Ellipsis. They're a video game metal band from the Sacramento area and I've grown to be close with a few of the members of the band. We've talked about playing together in the future, so that's a big possibility. Other than TBOE, I'd love to open for a band like The Browning or Enter Shikari one day.

8.Whom not?

I don't want to play shows with bands/artists that come across as arrogant. Whether it's because of their musical chops, genre elitism, or simply because they're assholes; I really just don't want to play with those people.

9. What bands have inspired you the most?

There are many bands that have inspired me musically, but I'd say the biggest influences on Got Item! come from Monomate, The Brotherhood of Ellipsis, Ditto's Blood, A Walk to Golgotha, and The Devil Wears Prada.

10. What do you think of our site?

The site's great! I think it's an excellent way of spreading smaller bands around that otherwise may not have found any sort of coverage.
