Heavy Hitter - Interview

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

To be honest i was racking my brain for a cool and just mean band name that was unique. And i was listening to lana del rey and her song heavy hitter is one of my favorites. So the lyric in her song 'Heavy Hitter' just sounded awesome. So i stuck with and it worked out perfectly.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

Hardcore was a new thing for me to get into. I was really into deathcore such as The Acacia Strain, Emmure, you know bands of that nature. And i listened to stick to your guns one day and was just shocked at the lyrics behind so from then on i wanted to make music that wasn't so cheesy or just bland.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Yeah Me, Benito, and Sam all knew each other before this band. We went to the same highschool.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Sam: Coldplay

Benito: Slipknot

Jonathan: Caspian

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Experiences with our family. Friends. People that just piss us off i guess haha.  Our own struggles and triumphs.

6. Where was your last gig?

Have not played a single show yet

7. Where would you like to act?

Prolly rocketown at the white building

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Letlive. Without a doubt.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

No i was in theatre as a kid so i guess I've always bee use to a crowd. But i would just tell them that you're in a band for you. Not them. So play live for you. Have fun.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

Oh, Sleeper, Kingmaker, Defeater, Stick to Your Guns, Bring Me the Horizon.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

I don't know if we have any fans yet.  13. What do you think of your fans?  If we have fans. I think they are awesome for supporting the band. Thank you!

14. What do you think of our site?  

I think it is amazing that you just promote bands cause that is so hard to get your band name out there. Cause nobody gives a shit at first. So yeah you guys definitely open up a lot of opportunities and thats amazing.
