In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Metalcore band Ira Hill from USA, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Well we were under the name, Ataxia for some time but decided when we were going to move forward we wanted something that held a little more meaning to us. Ira Road is the street where we held our very first practices and the house was on the hill. It keeps us in touch with our roots and is more unique than our previous name.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Ever since we started practicing together, we had troubles identifying with one genre in particular. We all grew up listening to many different kinds of music and realized that the more we played shows, the more diverse we wanted our music to be. There is an obvious underlying metal/core root but we like to mix up our music and engage the listener in other variations and sounds.

3.Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes. In fact we all went to the same High School in Akron, Ohio. We all bonded over our love for music and went to concerts pretty often at our local venue, at the time, Peabody’s. After some time we all knew that we wanted to be on the other side of the stage and have been devoted to putting on as big a show as possible since.

4.Each band member favorite band?

Jordon: Slipknot, Ricky: Blink-182, Brian: As Blood Runs Black, Devon: Brand New

5.Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Daily setbacks and adversities fuel our writing process for the most part. It started off as more of a therapeutic process for us but we now hope that the same message of perseverance can be relayed onto the listener to help whoever else with their daily struggles as well.

6.Where was your last gig?

We just recently played the iMatter Fest in New York with Silverstein, Miss May I, and many other killer acts. It was one of the best shows we have played to date and we are grateful to have had the opportunity.

7.Where would you like to act?

There has never been one place in particular for any of us. We all love traveling in general and are stoked that we are involved in a career where we get to travel all the time. Our goal is to hit as many spots as we can in the world by the time it is all said and done.

8.Whom would you like to feature with?

Considering their recent track record, we would love to share the stage with bands such as Slipknot, Bring Me the Horizon, and/or Attila due to the fact that they all are capable of putting on a great show.

9.Whom not?

Justin Bieber.

10.Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Our mom’s all gave birth to us on a stage and ever since we have had no problem returning.

11.What bands have inspired you the most?

We take influence from many different outlets but the ones that truly gave us our respective starts in our music careers are Slipknot, Blink-182, As Blood Runs Black, and Brand New.

12.What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We don’t like to call names but at one show a fan was very set on having all the band members kiss him. It was weird because we want to engage with our fans but we only kiss each other.

13.What do you think of your fans?

The main reason we are in a band is to entertain others and hopefully make a positive impact in our fans’ lives so it means a lot when we see people who are appreciative of our music.

14.What do you think of our site?

Never quite knew that progressive trancecore was a genre until visiting your website. Thank you for that. You guys are really helping bring a spotlight to the underground scene in all realness so I can speak for many other bands when I say that it’s very appreciated.

15.Something to add?

We are getting ready to head out on the “Just Keep Swimming Fall Tour” with our Akron buds in Hand of Zeus to support our new EP “Just Keep Swimming” and can’t wait to meet some new faces on the east coast. Writing is always a top priority on our minds and we are planning for a music video release soon with another EP to follow. Some of the new songs are turning out pretty exciting and we can’t say too much at the moment, but we have many more exciting tricks up our sleeves for the coming months so stay tuned!

Thanks guys!
