In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Deathcore band Not Without Affliction from USA, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Justin: We actually just kind of came up with it out of nowhere. If I remember correctly, Matt just kind of said it one day, and I remember thinking: “That’s it. That’s our band name.”

Matt: It was really just the first name I came up with.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Matt: I like Deathcore, but it isn’t what I listen to most. So it really works out. I can make it, without being too influenced by what i’m listening to at the moment.

Justin: I’ve always wanted to make heavy music, and when Matt had the idea to use the Keys and symphonic elements that we use quite often, I knew we could do something different.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Justin: We’re actually brothers. hahahaha

4. Each band member favourite band?

Matt: A Day To Remember, Hellions, Trophy Eyes and August Burns Red currently.

Justin: Make Them Suffer for sure. Hellions. Parkway Drive. A Day To Remember. Trophy Eyes. Blink 182. Atreyu. Thy Art Is Murder. My taste in music is all over the place.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Justin: Things that happen in my everyday life, honestly. I just try to write about real life situations that everyone can relate to in some way.

Matt: Alot of the bands I grew up listening to are really what mostly inspire my writing.

6. Where was your last gig?

Matt: We haven’t played any shows yet. This is our first album, and without all the members we need to pull off good shows, we just haven’t had that chance yet. Hopefully soon though.

7. Where would you like to act?

Justin: I want to play in alot of places, but I think it’d be super cool to eventually play in Australia.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Justin: Hmm, good question. I would kill to have Sean Harmanis from Make Them Suffer. Or CJ from Thy Art Is Murder. I really want to feature someone for clean vocals in a part of a song i wrote too, but i haven’t had any idea of who yet.

Matt: The Guys from Listen For The Light were talking to us about it once, but we haven’t talked to them in a little while.

9. Whom not?

Justin: Jonny Craig. What a dick.

Matt: Oli Sykes. That guy sucks.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Justin: I just try not to think about anything except for what i’m doing.

Matt: Just focus on the music and having a good time.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Matt: Make Them Suffer. I, Valiance. Thy Art Is Murder. And Hell Followed With.

Justin: Yeah, Matt pretty much nailed it. I’d add Aversions Crown, Carnifex, The Crimson Armada, Born Of Osiris, and a little Behemoth.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Matt: I’m not really sure that we’ve been asked for anything weird yet.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Justin: Anyone who considers themselves a fan of our music, should know that I adore them. I’m just happy people like what we’ve worked so hard on.

14. What do you think of our site?

Matt: I think it’s a sick way to get music out there.

Justin: This site is incredible.

15. Something to add?

Justin: Just that we did this because it means a lot to us, and we want people who can relate to what we’ve been through, to get through it too. And lastly, a thank you to anyone who appreciates what we’ve worked on for so long. A big thanks to our good friends Ryan, Matthew, Anthony, and many others. And a HUGE thanks to Will Sowell who not only supported us in the very beginning, but gave us a hand in our production and songwriting early on. Thanks guys!
