Red Line Tragedy - Interview
In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Alternative Rock/Rock band Red Line Tragedy from USA, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
It started out when Karras and I got together and started working on the "Learn to Fly" record. A lot of the debut had been laid down. We hadn't yet completed our line up when we got a call from Jason that he and Frankie were available. So we hooked we all hit it off added couple more tunes to the record those two guy's were just what we needed to round out RLT.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
I've always loved this genre of music. It's in my blood. It represents my life. I love rock.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Yes we did. Mark and I actually wrote a couple of songs together 2 years ago. One immediately went to the radio, and the other won a huge songwriting contest where legendary producer Stuart Epps chose remixed it, and it was chosen to be the theme song for The Eli Seth Matthews Cancer Foundation. So when the opportunity arose to do it again, it was a no brainer. Frankie and I were in the national band Agents of the Sun together, and whenever I need a bassist, Frankie is the first call. Karras and I started a band together last year as well.
4. Each band member favorite band?
DEFTONES
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
I draw my inspiration from life experience. Anything can inspire a song. They come to me in waves out of the blue. My wife says she knows when I'm writing music in my head because the rest of the world fades away for a minute. I seem to be in a trance but that's just me putting things together in my head.
6. Where was your last gig?
We just got back from playing Mels Picktown Pub in Columbus Ohio. Actually in Pickerington just outside Columbus.
7. Where would you like to act?
9:30 Club Washington DC. Incredible room.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Deftones
9. Whom not?
I would play with anyone that'll give us a shot.
10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
I used to suffer from stage fright. I would always throw up before big shows. First time I played to 10,000 people I almost passed out. Just keep doing it. It ends sooner or later.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Biggest inspirations are Deftones, Alice in Chains, Beatles, Dredg, Juliana Theory, Finch, 311, sooooo many.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Hmmm I don't know about weirdest but coolest was when I met some kids who had painted Tim Mahoney from 311. He was desperately trying to get Tim to sign it. I had gotten pretty close with Tim and Chad from 311 on tour. The kid showed up 5 hours early when we were at House of Blues in Myrtle Beach. I managed to get him and his painting on Tim's bus, and he signed the painting and took pictures with the kid. I've NEVER seen a bigger smile. It also created a fan for life in the process.
13. What do you think of your fans?
I love our fans. Anyone that can connect with the music we make makes me feel incredible. It really is the most amazing feeling in the world because someone else actually understands your soul.
14. What do you think of our site?
The site is great. It's a great way to find new music and learn about who makes it and why they do it.
15. Something to add?
We are just honored to be able to get a shot at our dream. Thanks so much.
