Söedade - Interview

In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Melodic Hardcore band Söedade from Venezuela, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We spent some time thinking a lot, we couldn't make a choice untill one day "soëdade" came out of nowhere, we felt identified as a band with the meaning of the word, it means "loneliness", from the first time we saw the word, we knew it was the one, so here we are now, Soëdade.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

'Cause we all love hardcore music, when we decided to get together, from the first time we knew we were gonna be a hardcore band. For all the values, for the meaning of this movement, for the friends. This is more than just music for us.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Luis(lead vocals) and Antonio(guitar) are twin brothers, and have been friends with Nelson(guitar) for like 5 years. Luis met Pedro(drums) while working downtown and he introduced Armando(bass) to the others. That would be all the story.

4. Each band member’s favourite band?  

Luis: Comeback kid/Fall Of Efrafa

Antonio: Your Demise/More Than Life

Nelson: Iron Maiden

Armando: Death/Tool

Pedro: The Chariot

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Life itself is what inspires us. We write about what we feel. It could be anything.

6. Where was your last gig?  

Our last gig was here in our hometown, Maturín, Venezuela.

7. Where would you like to act?  

We couldn't pick a single place. To travel and to play a show out of your hometown is always a great thing to do.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

With Pedro from Dxnny Glxver, an awesome band from Barcelona, Venezuela.

9. Whom not?  

We don't really know a person we wouldn't like to play with, sorry. 10.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright?Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

We all have gone through that, I (Antonio) think that every time we play a show I feel it when I play the first chord, my advice for anyone who is gonna play live for the first time would be like let things just happen, get ready for it, be confident of yourself and everything will just flow.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

We all have different tastes in music, but I think that the ones that have inspired Soëdade's music are deffinetly More Than Life, Comeback Kid, Touché Amoré and The Zeta.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Nothing weird yet.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We as a band don't have fans at all but a lot of friends instead, that's whats awesome about hardcore music. Friends are everywhere and for life.

14. What do you think of our site?  

We think it's awesome, you're really suportive for the bands, not only on your local scene. You guys do such an awesome work, thank you.

Thanks a lot for the oportunity, we are a new band, with little less than two years out there, it's awesome that people take interest in our message and suport us the way you guys are doing.  We are all about making friends everywhere. Love your music, love your friends and DIY.
