True Lie - Interview

In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Modern Metal/Metalcore band True Lie from Italy, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It came out quite naturally. We are a lot into this contrast/opposite thing, which is a main theme in our songs, so an oxymoron such as "True Lie" is the best way to present ourselves. Just recently we realized that there's a movie with an almost identical title. That's lame.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?   

Because that's what we like the most in metal: lots of energy and rage blended with some melodic and introspective parts, not to mention all the fun we get from playing it.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

We stumbled into each other some years ago, at the time we were all members of another band (with a different singer) but things didn't go well and the band eventually broke-up. Right after that we started True Lie.

4. Each band member favourite band?   

Charlie - Marilyn Manson

Federico - Periphery

Dalila - Gojira

Alessandro - Machine Head

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?   

Internal struggles, frustration, weird thoughts.

6. Where was your last gig?   

Legend club in Milan, IT.

7. Where would you like to act?   

Any major metal fest would be awesome.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?   

That's a hard choice... Lamb of God?

9. Whom not?   

That's a hard choice... Manowar?

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?   

Yeah, some of us get really anxious right before the show, but with some time and effort we managed to overcome fear. Concentrate on your playing rather than on panic, use your adrenaline on the performance, do warm-up exercises and have crazy fun.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?   

We take inspiration from anything we like. We love almost every subgenre of metal music and it's too difficult even for us to point out who has influenced us the most.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?   

Unfortunately, nothing so far.

13. What do you think of your fans? 

Fans are like family, we are so thankful for all the love and support we get.
