In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Metal band Amenize from Brazil, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Bruno: One of my friends used a lot the expression “amenize”, which in portuguese means something between “calm down”, “soften” and “face it easy”. It sounded great to me because it’s not what you would expect from a Metal band, though it fits perfectly in our lyrics and songs.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Brain: Because we listen more Metal music than any other type of music. And our sound is the result of that. It’s almost instinctive for us to play and create heavy music.

Bruno: I’ve started to listen to music because of Metal bands and no other genre screams the truth as loud as Metal.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Brain: Bruno and I played in a band called Hope before Amenize was formed. During our hard rock times, Bruno started Amenize as a Metal side project. We were friends a long time even before Hope started, though. I met Danilo just one time before his audition with us, it was during a concert of his band with Bruno called Esylium.

Danilo: About 7 years ago, I would rehearse with my friends in a studio where Bruno worked. My first recording was there, I think I was close to 14 years old. Years later, Bruno started working where I took my drumming lessons and we became friends. When one of his bands, Esylium, needed a drummer, I was there. Being invited to join Amenize was a proof that I was on the right path.

4. Each band member favorite band?

Brain: Skid Row

Bruno: At the moment, The Ocean.

Danilo: Hard to tell, but for sure Dream Theater is one of my main influences.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Brain: The joy of playing guitar and create music with other people.

Danilo: To know that I will have them recorded and if something is not good it’s going to be there forever.

6. Where was your last gig?

Danilo: Last week, at Cafe Piu Piu (São Paulo).

7. Where would you like to act?

Brain: Warped Tour, South by Southwest will be great but everywhere that is interesting on listen to our music is a place that we would like to act.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Brain: I would like to play with He is Legend. I’m a big fan.

9. Whom not?

Danilo: I definitely would not have a good time playing with any “sertanejo” (brazilian country) singer.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Brain: I get a little bit nervous before the shows but nothing so exaggerated. I would say for beginners that it’s normal to be nervous, but once you feel the show and the adrenaline, the nervousness goes away.

Danilo: Of course! That’s what reminds you that you are not rehearsing. For drummers, be careful with excessive sweat on your hands or you will likely drop your sticks.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Brain: Textures, Mastodon, Cynic , Lamb of God and Periphery

Danilo: Lamb of God, Dream Theater, Project46, Pantera, Foo Fighters, Metallica. It’s a huge list.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Nothing weird yet.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Danilo: I think they should really listen our new album, “Black Sky”. It’s available everywhere. hueaheauhea

14. What do you think of our site?

Brain: I’ve been a follower of breathing the core for a while now. It’s one of my paths to get to know a lot of good new bands. Thanks for the support for the hardcore/metal scene, guys!

15. Something to add?

Bruno: Our second album, “Black Sky”, has been released last week and we have received a great feedback. If you want to listen to it, you can find all the links on our website, amenizeband.com. Finally, we would like to thank everyone that supports heavy music!
