Destabilize - Interview

In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Downtempo/Deathcore/Hardcore/Beatdown band Destabilize from USA/Russia, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

Chris: I wanted a name for something that was initially fitting for a band that sounding like a good combination of djent and hardcore and also fit the lyrics at the time. I still feel like it's just a simple yet powerful statement and fits this project well.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

Chris: I just wanted something different from what I usually do. I mainly play progressive metal but I wanted to keep myself busy and not stick solely to one playing style. Plus I'm a fan of this type of genre of metal and love the direction it's going with other bands.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Chris: Nope xD Dmitry - no hahaha

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Chris: My favorite overall is Born of Osiris, those dudes influenced my playing style and influenced how I approach composition for songs on top of being a beastly band both on record and live.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Chris: It's a lot of things, from general things like how our world is being affected, or personal things like relationships or the stress in life.

Dmitry: My view of the surrounding.

6. Where was your last gig?  

Chris: Nowhere lol

7. Where would you like to act?  

Chris: I personally would like to play in Japan, the metal fans there are outrageous

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Chris: I would love to hear Phil Bozeman from Whitechapel do something with us on this project haha

9. Whom not?  

Chris: Can't really think of anyone in particular, but I wouldn't want to work with someone who just isn't a good fit with Dmitry's vocals lol

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Dmitry: The first time I was scared.but when caught drive and emotion of the hall it became much easier to perform . then just like to repeat it again and again

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Dmitry: Veil of Maya . Volumes . Monuments . Reflections . The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza

Chris: Born of Osiris, Fallujah, Within the Ruins, The Faceless, Behemoth, to name a few

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Chris: To write a song with cat meows instead of vocals, which actually went over well xD

13. What do you think of your fans?

Chris: I don't have the largest fanbase in the world, but I do have some of the best definitely. I love interacting with anyone who comes on my Facebook pages and makes me laugh or asks me a question about something because they are supporting anything I do.

14. What do you think of our site?  

Chris: I am always in support of sites like yours that goes out of their way to find bands and help promote them. They are always the backbone to a band's support system today in the age of the internet and without them, us struggling musicians wouldn't be out as much for people to check out.
