In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Deathcore band Hate In Flesh from Portugal, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

At the time being, one of our guitar players had that name in mind, he said that the name could express our musical style, and being a "heavy" name, when someone hears about the name of our band they can quickly have an idea of what they can expect to hear,

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

The heavy sound was always the genre in which we could mostly identify ourselves, for the heavy riffs and the screamed vocals, and  inside that genre was the best way that we could always express ourselves, mainly concerning the lyrics that sometimes portrait some of our most struggling life experiences.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Despite the first members of the band being all brazilian guys that came to live in Portugal, none of us knew each other at the time. One day our vocalist Maiko was returning home from his job and he got to know Paulo, our guitarist, telling him he was looking for people to start a band and jam around Some days later, Paulo managed to reach Euler, our drummer, through social networks and that was the beggining of Hate In Flesh!

4. Each band member favourite band?

It's always complicated to talk about favorite bands because we hear lots of bands from lots of diferent genres, but we could mention some more "classic" bands like Lamb Of God and Machine Head, some modern deathcore bands like Upon a Burning Body, Suicide Silence and Thy Art Is Murder, and even some more progressive/djent bands like Periphery, Veil Of Maya and Tesseract. Outside of metal some of us like some modern prog rock like Karnivool and Dead Letter Circus for example.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Our inspiration is related with events in our lives in which we are put to test, when everything makes us want to quit and it's easier to accept defeat there is always a little voice inside us that gives us strength to fight and never give up. We believe that lots of people can identify themselves with these kinds of situations because we are always being put through these sorts of experiences that test our capacities and limits and we don't always have the courage to go out of our comfort zone to fight or to learn with harder struggles that can kill us inside but end up making us be born again.

6. Where was your last gig?

It was in the beggining of this month, in a small town called Viseu in the north interior of Portugal, though being a small town we managed to catch the inauguration of the bar in which we played, so we got to have a pretty cool crowd and sold some merch too!

7. Where would you like to act?

Our will is to be able to perform in the biggest stagest of the big metal festivals where all the classic bands go through, it would be a major achievement in our carreer to be able to step the same stage as our idols!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We'd love to share the stage with every band, we don't even care if it's not the same style as our band! We believe that there is room for every band to play and people ecletic enough to listen to all of them. For now we'd love to open for a Thy Art Is Murder or any big deathcore band gig, that'd be an awesome milestone!

9. Whom not?

We don't and don't want to have any bad blood with anyone, so as we said in the previous question, everybody is welcome!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Some of us went through the "butterfly in stomach" sensation before the first gig, but as time passed by we end up getting used to that feeling. We think that the best advice we can give is, some minutes before entering the stage, everyone should have their time to focus and take a deep breath to think that it's time to tear the house down!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

The first bands we heard and inspired us to start playing our instruments were those classic bands like AC/DC and Metallica and even Angra, then we started to hear more modern bands at the nu-metal era, like Korn, System Of A Down, Rage Against The Machine and Slipknot, and finally in the current days, it's bands like Thy Art Is Murder, Suicide Silence, Whitechapel and even Periphery that inspire us and remember us that it's possible to live the dream of playing around the world and to lots of people everyday!

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Until the moment we never had anything out of what we would consider "normal" haha!

13. What do you think of your fans?

I think that they all share the same madness, in the end we are all the same, maybe what makes us diferent in some moments is if we're drunk or not (haha) and sometimes acting from impulse due to some momentary lapse of reason, but in general we are all big idealists!

14. What do you think of our site?

We liked the presentation a lot, it's always up to date and with a lot of information and news about both bigger bands and the most recent ones, we congratulate you for that!

15. Something to add?

We would like to thank you for the invite to do this interview, it's a great opportunity for us to poster and to whoever wants to know about our work, because we take music not only as fun but as a life philosophy too!   https://www.facebook.com/hateinflesh Thank you for supporting. HINF
