In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Progressive Metalcore/Djent band Memories In Broken Glass from USA, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Mark: Band name was made by a former vocalist, name was different and band had been around so we kept it”

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

George: Because I love music.

Justin: Personally I just enjoy the fact that I get to physically express myself on stage more so with heavy-metal then any other genre.

Mark: Because metal is the shit.

Randy: The genre really satisfies the inner grove.

Saul: It’s a way of expressing a certain emotion and thought, something that you don’t get from any other genre.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Justin: All of us grew up in the same small town and went to school together besides ours vocalist Saul.

Mark: Randy through elementary.

Randy: Me and George grew up living down the street from each other, and I knew of Justin and Mark before I joined, and Saul was a fresh face , but I felt like I've known him for years.

George: I didn’t know them, just knew they had a band.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Justin and Mark: Between the Buried and Me.

Randy: I don't have a favorite, it's more like a favorite during a certain time in my life, my favorite bands are after the burial, killswitch engage, btbam, and tesseract.

Saul: I’ve always been a fan of the non metal bands such as: Counting Crows, Genesis, Queen and Rush.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Justin: I would have to say that music standard these days is a huge influence in our writing process. Everything is good, everything is polished, so many talented musicians in the world and we still want to stand out from the normal so we need to analyze our surroundings.

Mark: Mood and surroundings influence my music.

George: All the spectrum of the human condition and emotion.

6. Where was your last gig?

Corpus Christi at the House of Rock

7. Where would you like to act?

Justin: We really need to go on a East Coast tour very soon! We live in South Texas and have traveled the West Coast plenty of times, it's time to get cold!

Randy: The UK!

Saul: Europe for sure, but the world is the goal you know?

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Justin: I would really love to tour with Dream Theater and Between the Buried and Me.

Mark: I think a tour with us, tesseract, btbam and periphery would let me die happy.

Randy: The contortionist, tesseract, and monuments.

George: Any well known metal band that has identity and originality. Tesseract, Skyharbor, Periphery, etc.

Saul: I’d like to share the stage with dream theater, tesseract, symphony x, periphery.

9. Whom not?

Saul: Anyone that’s not respectful towards their fellow performers!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Justin: Everyone gets butterflies wether it be a HUGE gig or even your first. Best advice I can give anyone is, Practice! Don't rush your art & there will be no reason to be nervous!

Mark: Every now and then i'll get the willies, but once the first note is played you just gotta get after it! all young musicians should just put it out there, worse they can do is go outside and smoke a cigarette.

Randy: I've never been afraid of talking/singing/playing to a crowd, I would say just be yourself, and if they don't like it Fuck em.

Saul: Always, every time I get on stage it comes naturally. But I use that to my own advantage, that feeling, I channel it towards my stage persona.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Mark: I admire Polyphia's DIY approach to their careers, blowing up and always stepping the game up through themselves musically and business wise.

Justin: I would have to say Pink Floyd & The Doors only because when I first listened to these bands they gave me the chills and I always wanted to give our audience the same reaction I got when I was a younger.

Randy: Tesseract, and btbam, more recently, pantera, metallica, and iron maiden got me into heavy music when I was a wee lad. Killswitch soilwork and in flames made me want to be in a band.

Saul: Genesis, dream theater and rush for sure!

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Justin: He's not only our biggest fan but he is also Corpus Christi's favorite bum so I would have to say money or change lol.

Mark: To play their kid's birthday party lol.

Randy: Lol for a ride to the next gig on tour because he needed to go to the next city we were playing at!

13. What do you think of your fans?

Justin: I appreciate them so much! They give MIBG the drive/fire to keep producing a solid product.

Mark: They're the best!

14. What do you think of our site?

Breathing the core is a great source for exclusive info on bands and music in general! We definitely dig that!

15. Something to add?

Saul: Never stop being your self, But only when you truly find yourself.
