Psychoclasm - Interview
In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Metal/Metalcore band Psychoclasm from New Zealand, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
Where did you get t We started as With Scarlet Offerings, but decided to change from that. We went with Psychoclasm after playing round with a few different ideas, essentially its separated into Psycho, broken down meaning crazy, and Clasm, like an explosion. So like a mass, crazy, explosion.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
Because Scott told us too. Haha Metal is just a fun genre to play, especially live.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
No. We met through various ads wanting to start bands. Scott and Tristan probably met on grinder hahaha.
4. Each band member favourite band?
Scott: Lamb Of God
Blahr: Pantera
Lee: Probably Lamb Of God or Beyond Creation
Tristan: Lamb Of God
Greg: Tech N9ne
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Life in general.
6. Where was your last gig?
Krazy Jacks, in Tauranga, NZ.
7. Where would you like to act?
Wakken festival (Germany).
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Lamb of God, Soulfy, MachineHead,
9. Whom not?
Not really relevant to us, we're not that picky with who we play with.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Not really, always warm up before the show. Know your parts, know your gear is ready. And be really well rehearsed and tight as a band. Once it becomes a second nature, you have a lot more fun playing live.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Probably all our different influences combined.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
There's been an ass signing on our drummer.
13. What do you think of your fans?
They rule, it's wicked to have a connection with them, especially playing live and seeing them get into it. We're grateful to everyone that's been to our shows.
14. What do you think of our site?
Pretty cool. Easy to flick through.
15. Something to add?
Keep an eye on our facebook page (www.facebook.com/PsychoclasmNZ ) for a major announcement coming soon.
