The Juliet Massacre - Interview
In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Deathcore band The Juliet Massacre from Italy, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
Hi all, here's Antomega, one of The Juliet Massacre singers. Well, nothing special, me and the actual drummer were looking for something like a good and an evil words, nothing else P.S. Juliet is not referred to “Romeo and Juliet”.
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
Everyone in the band comes from a different background, but the death/slam/core could be considered the only one that binds us, because all the members like very heavy stuff and, yes, death/slam metal is where you can find it!
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
We have changed guitarists since the 2006, the year when The Juliet Massacre was born. This line-up is still alive since 2010 (the release year of “Pray For An Afterlife”), so we have grown together as musicians. Basically we are all friends and we know each other perfectly.
4. Each band member favourite band?
Im answering for myself and I can say that the most important band in my whole life is Queen, they are where everything in my music life started. For the drummer Pelle I can say Origin and Despised Icon, for my bro' Alex Gore Benighted and King 810, for the bassist Luchino Hammerfall and Funeral For A Friend, for the guitarist Sab Soilwork and Aborted.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
We have multiple sources and they don't come only from the music scene, the fact is, especially about the lyrics, I get my ispiration from all the shit happens in this fucking world: racism, war, police violence, violence on the women, etc etc. 6. Where was your last gig? We played an amazing gig near Pisa supporting Suicide Silence, The Black Dahlia Murder and Black Tongue, it was very very intense and exciting!
7. Where would you like to act?
The USA is the country where our music has the huge audience, but at the moment is very very hard for us to go over there, we are just an underground band and we need someone that can believe in us, we cant do it alone for sure!
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Personally with Marilyn Manson!
9. Whom not?
I really don't know!!!
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
No, just look at our gigs to know how we feel so comfortable on the stage. About the tips?Mmmmm… Be yourself and let the music go through the veins, don't take care about the people in front of you and be aggressive, always aggressive.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
From the beginning i think Job For A Cowboy, Devourment, As Blood Runs Black, now I cant tell you exactly, but a lot of band.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
We are not a big act so when someone ask us to sign a cd or a t-shirt we culd consider that as a weird thing ahahhaha!
13. What do you think of your fans?
No words about them, they are the reason why we go on on our music way, they support us everyday at everytime, no words man.
14. What do you think of our site?
Sites like yours are the first aid for underground band, without you we can't tell to the whole world who we are, so thank you so much about this interview.
15. Something to add?
Just to look at our Facebook page for the big news that we are going to release in the next weeks. Again, Thank you so much!
