Violent Eve - Interview
In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Deathcore/Metal band Violent Eve from Spain, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
It was a classic ideas brainstorming while recording our first album, then some names made the cut and we thought that Violent Eve sounded good and liked its meaning.
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
It’s the music we like, the music we want to play and the best therapy to deal with bad blood or bad mood.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Yes, we even shared stage in festivals when we played with our former bands, in fact that’s the reason why Violent Eve exists.
4. Each band member favorite band?
J. Jurado (vocals) – Deftones
David Ramos (guitar) – Machine Head
Diego López (guitar) – Meshuggah
Edu Brenes (drums) – Metallica
Nacho CRD (bass) – Rob Zombie
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
I guess that the bands named before and others work in our subconscious at the moment we are writing or arranging a song but to be honest which truly inspire us is the work itself, sit down, start working and inspiration will come to you.
6. Where was your last gig?
Somewhere in Spain in our last tour like 6 or 7 months ago, sounds ridiculous but I cannot remember where exactly.
7. Where would you like to act?
We like to play everywhere but if I have to say something I would say at Hellfest or Download festival.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
It would be almost impossible as we like many different kinds of music but for sure with all the bands we are real fans of, so not so many of them eventually.
9. Whom not?
As a musician not really anyone into rock, metal, hardcore etc….. Probably never with many nowadays mainstream “artists” who are destroying the ears of so many innocents with their crappy noise.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
I think everyone suffered that at some point, I still suffer it in a different way, the minutes before you jump to stage you feel nervous, impatient, adrenaline is all over your body and you want to do your best and kill it and that’s exactly what fucks you up in your first times playing live but as long as you do it more and more you learn to control it, even enjoy it so the only tip for I can give is to play, play and play live, the more experience the less stage fright.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
A lot, cannot name a few, from hard rock to grindcore through black and death metal, when a band is good is good and that always inspires.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
A guy from Portugal asked us a couple of months ago that he loves the band but never saw us live and will not because he have no money, he was not going to buy any music or merch to us because of the same thing and after that he asked us if we can send him our discography and a t-shirt for free to his home….. so we did it. Of course we cannot do this with everyone who asks for it but this was an isolated case and there’s nothing more important for us as a band that someone really appreciates what you do.
13. What do you think of your fans?
We don’t judge our fans, many different people, different behaviors and ways of thinking so if they enjoy our music that makes us happy.
14. What do you think of our site?
I think it’s a very nice site to discover so many unknown bands, the list is huge. Also the design make it very easy to do.
15. Something to add?
Thanks a lot for the interview and never stop loving music.
