In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Rock/Jazz/Metal/Folk/Hardcore band XNight from Spain, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The band name was chosen before Pol and Noa were in the band. Alvar, Iker and Jordi did some brainstorming and, of all the names that came out, XNIGHT was the only the three of them liked.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We never planned to play any specific kind of genre. Our common point was rock, so we all knew where to start writing, but we have always let the music flow. We all have very different tastes in music and we were musically formed in different genres, so that is why the results are a bit hard to label.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Alvar, Iker, Jordi and Noa know each other from the different schools we went to. Pol is our new member since this Spring and we met him while searching for our new bass player.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Alvar: Foo Fighters

Iker: Pink Floyd

Jordi: Fightstar

Noa: Alanis Morisette (& her band)

Pol: The Beatles

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We still haven’t reached the point in which one same thing inspires us all, so each one of us is inspired by different things. It can be anything, really: a movie, personal experiences, or even just one sound that we like and develop.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was in Sants, Barcelona. A huge stage and a great rock atmosphere! And this week we’ll be playing in Bocanord, also Barcelona, with Katarsick and PersonPerson. That will be just one year after the concert of our CD presentation. We expect it to be huge, too!

7. Where would you like to act?

It would be fantastic if we can ever play in big festivals such as Download, Rock am Ring or even Woodstock, although our music doesn’t completely fit in any of these, but we all think that it is more important who with than where. Imagine we could play with any of our music heroes! That would be better than any Madison Square Garden.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We featured Jessica Naomi Williams, from the bands Ankor and Lasagabuster, in I Am, and the experience was fantastic, so we are willing to feature artists that give us such good vibes too.

9. Whom not?

If the musician is good, no matter which genre does he, she or them play. The result can be great and unexpected.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Some of us still do a bit. Once you’re in the stage there is no way back, so you have to give your best. It is something you have to go through if you want to play live shows, so our recommendation is to enjoy the moment. And it isn’t a bad thing to be a bit nervous before you start!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

We are going to answer this question the same way we did with question 4 since we are inspired by many different bands.

Alvar: Bands such as Foo Fighters or Paramore, but I like to learn from different styles such as Jazz or Funky.

Iker: Dawn of the Maya, Noah Gundersen, Metallica or Frank Turner.

Jordi: Fightstar (again), My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Billy Talent, Biffy Clyro, Deaf Havana or Zico Chain.

Noa: Alanis Morisette (again), Fleetwood Mac, Rachel Diggs, Civil Wars, Guano Apes, Amy Winehouse or System of a Down.

Pol: Queen, Pink Floyd, The Police, Metallica, Boston or Guns ‘n’ Roses.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

An autograph.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We are very grateful to those people that have been by our side since day 1 and we are very excited to meet new people that is listening to I Am and coming to our shows or sharing our music in different countries. We never thought we would get here and we are working very hard on our new songs to get even further.

14. What do you think of our site?

We think your work in gathering so many bands with similar music reminiscences is fantastic. It helps bands that want to meet new bands of a similar genre, and it is useful for those who are searching for new bands and new sounds to listen to.

15. Something to add?

Thank you tons for believing in us and being the first to share our CD.
