In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Deathcore band Bleed Someone Dry from Italy, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It was decided to adopt the name Bleed Someone Dry years ago, when Jonny and the previous drummer Ruben, entered the band it was the latter to propose the current name. Being a native English speaker Ruben explained that this formula (Bleed Someone Dry) slang meant something or someone intent to extort money… A "bleeding" in economical terms. The meaning conquered us immediately, especially for the issues that were addressed at the time.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Honestly we didn’t sit down to decide the kind of music we should have and should play in our songs... Of course we used influences from bands that we like but we did not just say “well, this album should sound deathcore or prog”… Whilst songwriting we wanted the songs to sound original and that they had peculiarities both math, or deathcore djent. We always tried not to pull out something that was already heard tons of times and I think the result is satisfactory.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

I personally knew Bleed Someone Dry long before becoming part of the band, as already as a kid I followed their activities and their shows. Also Mattia who was part of another band of our underground scene, so not personally but I knew more or less who he was! Same goes with Alfeo! Ours is a small town and therefore if you follow certain circles, the people are almost always the same!

4. Each band member favourite band?

As I said we have different influences, there is among us who prefers mathcore/math metal and bands like The Dillinger Escape Plan, Born Of Osiris and Meshuggah. Who is more oriented sounds or death deathcore type Thy Art Is Murder, Whitechapel and Carnifex... We also even like some more prog groups like Vildjharta or Gojira. So it is difficult to limit ourselves to a few names.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The lyrics that made our last album relate to various issues. We tried to work on a concept in which to run around all these issues, we imagined having to give answers to our future generation, to explain the slow decline that takes place every day. Taking a sample, a “typical example” (Aelia, in fact) tracks after tracks we sort of became one with “Virgilio” and we tried to find plausible explanations to issues such as religious diversity, thinking, social matters... And often we found ourselves in front of huge questions to which we hardly manage to find an answer. Hence the title “PostMortem | Veritas” probably because many of the questions raised will be clear only after a clear and absolute truth which is death.

6. Where was your last gig?

The last show we played took place at Halloween party last week, in a city of the region where we come from where a big event takes place, one of the biggest in our country. There were several stages and we had the pleasure of performing on the Haeretica stage, a very cool and special opportunity , although all taking place outside the cold weather consumed us!

7. Where would you like to act?

Eh... Wherever we get granted, we dream and we are trying to organize some tours in Northern Europe as in our country. We are searching, for the new year, to go back to Russia... We have many projects and we hope to achieve as many as possible.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Well, there are a lot of bands with which i dream to play and share the stage! Surely it would be a honor to open a show for bands like Whitechapel, Suicide Silence or Born Of Osiris, but they are the first that come into my mind. We could spend a whole day here and perhaps not be able to get a complete list!

9. Whom not?

Same answer in a way. It’s hard to find bands with whom I do not get along ,with snobbish attitude or full of them selves. But in that case i would rather not play with any.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

It’s normal sometimes before going on stage to have that strange feeling of adrenaline and a strange shiver down my spine. The tension is probably the element that makes the show something unique and special. That little bit of “fear” if it can be defined this way, that makes that magical moment from the first note or when you pronounce the first verse. It’s normal, an “additive” which makes it even more special. Certainly if we speak of real phobia stage then it is a whole other topic, one thing is terror and one is that thing, that little feeling of frantic standard pre show “scare”.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

As I said earlier many! But if I have to say just a name, many have often compared us to Meshuggah .for distortions or structures, even if I don’t agree much! At least as far as our latest CD goes.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Surely in our previous tour in Russia! When a guy at the end of the show demanded my favourite t-shirt in exchange for his... I loved that shirt but did not know how to pull back... It was hard to part with it!

13. What do you think of your fans?

I thank them infinitely for the fact that they like our music, I love to think that the listener can let off steam, release the tension daily and share what we say! Otherwise the whole thing would end within itself , or no?!?

14. What do you think of our site?

I visited your Facebook page and website a few times, I deepened and discovered bands that I had heard little of, it is very interesting, simple and direct!

15. Something to add?

Thank you for the visibility and the time dedicated to us! For us it was a pleasure and we hope that your readers will appreciate our latest effort "Postmortem | Veritas”.
