Back Garden Light - Interview

In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Easycore/Metalcore/Pop Punk band Back Garden Light from France, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them.We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Tom (Bass): It sounded good in french, and in english. At first we liked the word "garden", but we needed to add something! We found Back Garden Light quickly and are glad with it.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Max (Vocals): We all pretty much started by listening pop punk and/or metal. As we were growing up we started to listen to band that were combining the two genre, like Set your goals, A day to remember or Four year strong.  My real shock was the first time i heard In Friends we trust by Chunk, i fell in love immediately.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Louis (Lead Guitar): Not really, I knew everyone except Tom. I called Max and Lilian (Drums), quickly Max proposed Tom to play bass. Kirby (rythmic guitar) came later, when we were looking for a second guitarist, we all knew him and he fitted well really fast!

4. Each band member favourite band?

Tom: Four year strong of course

Lilian: BMTH

Kirby: Crown the empire

Max: Easy, Chunk.

Louis: I would say New found glory, but i'm a huge fan of Set your goals aswell.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Max: For our lyrics we like to talk about our experiences and our feelings of course. We really try to not write generic stuffs, but its not that easy because of the language.

6. Where was your last gig?

Lilian: We played like a cover show back when we didnt have any songs, we played green day, sum 41, a day to remember, was really fun !

7. Where would you like to act?

Max: In the USA obviously, because its where the peoples are, the labels, the whole scene of the genre. Also asia is pretty appealing, the alternative scene is huge.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Kirby: With the dudes in Abandoned by bears, Jeremy Mckinnon, Patrick Sebastien.

9. Whom not?

Kirby: Whom not? Patrick Sebastien aswell i guess.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Tom: We all did when we started with our first bands, buts its alright, once you hit the stage you just have to give everything. My advice, if you're too  affraid of the people; you just have too look the wall in the back of the venue.  It helps!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Lilian: We're all big fans or Chunk, Abandoned by bears, These heart, heavy pop punk/metalcore band. We love the mix between the genres, and those guys are doing it so well.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Max: We didnt experienced any weird things with the fans, since we just started the band. But if you're a fan, come and lets get weird !

13. What do you think of your fans?

Kirby:  Our public has been really receptive with our first song, we couldnt be more thankful

Max: Yeah we already met some great people.

14. What do you think of our site?

Louis:  Its pretty great, already discovered new super good bands from there !
