Breathe Me In - Interview

In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Metalcore/Post- Hardcore band Breathe Me In from Italy, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them.We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

On our first day recording at Excess Studio, our producer accidentally typed Breathe The Light instead of Bring The Light. Looking back at the title we thought it was a really good name and since we couldn’t use it because it was too similar to the name of our song, we chose to change it in Breathe Me In.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

At first we didn’t even listen to this genre, after growing up we started appreciating it more and more, up to the point where we decided to start delivering it with our own personal style.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We all met on our first year of high school. The band started with only our singer and our drummer, then after a short while our guitarist and our bassist joined. Due to musical needs a second guitarist was necessary to the starting line-up, fortunately we knew a friend who had just moved from Greece who was willing to join the band.

4. Each band member favourite band?

We all have similar taste in music, some of our favourite bands are: Bring Me The Horizon, Northlane, Architects and Of Mice & Men.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Our songwriting is simple, it all starts from an intuition from our guitarist and from that raw tune we build up and mould it together.

6. Where was your last gig?

In Turin, Lavanderia Ramone.

7. Where would you like to act?

Abroad for example in England or America, where our genre is more followed.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

It would be a pleasure if one day Sam Carter (Architects) would feature in one of our songs.

9. Whom not?

At the moment we wouldn’t exclude featuring with anyone.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Our guitarist and our drummer suffer from a bit of stage fright before every gig, but as soon as they get on and start playing it all goes away. To the beginners we unfortunately have no tips, except to play as much as possible to build up your experience and your confidence.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Throughout the years many bands have inspired us. In our recent LP the most prominent ones are: Bring Me The Horizon, Asking Alexandria, Northlane, Architects, Of Mice and Men, I See Stars and Issues.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

After a gig a fan approached our guitarist and asked him if he could buy his guitar.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We think they are quite clever, because if we were in their shoes we would listen to us too!

14. What do you think of our site?

Clean, well organised and easy to navigate.
