Chasing Grey - Interview

In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Deathcore/Metalcore/Post-Hardcore band Chasing Grey from USA, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Jerry: I didn't have anything to do with the band name. I just joined and they had the name which I enjoyed so I didn't complain.

Philip: Oone day I realized how a lot of bands are useing generic names with the words "empire, crown, King, kingdom,etc" and just wanting something different. Took me a while but we finally settled on that name.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Jerry: It honestly started all because of an August Burns Red song. I bought a shirt that looked cool and I had no clue it was a band shirt, but when my friend showed me it was a band I listened to Meddler and fell in love with the genre. However the album Dead Throne is what made me want to play the genre.

Philip: I wanted to play this genre becuase I feel like the core scene has died down these last few years and I want to do something to change that.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Jerry: I knew Colby because I did some graphic design for him, but I didn't know anyone else.

Philip: The only people I didn't know was jerry and Donny. Besides that I already knew the rest!

4. Each band member favourite band?

Jerry: That's easily Beartooth. Bring Me The Horizon is my close second.

Philip: I don't have a favorite band. There are to many good bands out there to only choose one

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Jerry: Emotions honestly. Whether it's anger or happiness it's always emotions I draw from.

Philip: I don't really have an inspiration for writing music. I just want to do my best at it becuase I love making music

6. Where was your last gig?

Jerry: My last gig was with my other band Nov. 7th

Philip: We haven't played a show yet. We have to finish outer EP. But as soon as we finish it sometime next year. Definetly ready to play shows by then

7. Where would you like to act?

Jerry: I've always wanted to play on Warped Tour. It's been a dream of mine. That or Rock Am Ring would be amazing.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Jerry: That is a very long list haha. Chad Ruhlig, Caleb Shomo, Dennis Stoff, etc.

Philip: I would love to feature with shaylee from dayshell. He has always been my favorite singer.

9. Whom not?

Jerry: Fronzilla or Atilla. I just don't like the whole "money pussy weed" thing they have going on. I love and respect their music talent just can't get passed the lyrics.

Philip: Pretty much anybody that I wouldn't think would fit with our sound.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Jerry: I never really suffered from it. Honestly just once you hit that first chord you'll loose a lot of you fear.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Jerry: Three Days Grace, Beartooth, Bring me the Horizon, The Devil Wears Prada, August Burns Red, etc. it's a long list.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Jerry: There's actually not anything weird.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Jerry: They're the reason bands are a thing so all of the ones we have now and we will have are the reason I'm able to do what I love.

14. What do you think of our site?

Jerry: I've never heard of it!
