Dark Prism - Interview

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
It just worked out that way, dark prism means morbid mindedness it’s a philosophical way of saying pessimism.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
It felt appropriate and natural for us.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Tauhid knew Evan mutually but never pursued a band out of it, then formed with original guitarist Ryan Ogborn. Shortly after that Tauhid met Justin at our local Guitar Center. Then we met Ethan through Justin, and then Ryan left to pursue other dreams. So that’s how Evan came into the picture becoming our newest member

Justin Kelley (Drums): Dance Gavin Dance
Ethan Hernandez (Bass): Slipknot
Evan Yoshino (Guitar): Reflections/ Sea in the Sky
Tauhid Bassam (Guitar): Periphery
5. Where was your last gig?
DNA Lounge in San Francisco
6. Where would you like to act?
Madison Square Garden in New York
7. Whom would you like to feature with?

9. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Tauhid & Justin have, because our last was our first show! Just go for it and once you know your just playing with your friends it comes natural.
10. What bands have inspired you the most?
Suicide Silence, Born of Osiris, Veil of Maya, Periphery, Reflections.
11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Our drummer Justin Kelley was stalked by a fan via Facebook, and she apparently quit her job because of hearing our music. We didn’t what to think, it was weird.
12. What do you think of your fans?
For the ones that we have made, we are very appreciative of the support that they give us.
13. What do you think of our site?
We love it, we think it’s a great way for bands in the metal/ hardcore to be heard.
