Endrah - Interview

In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Deathcore/Trash Metal band Endrah from Brazil, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them.We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Covero: This name came from Indra a divinity worshiped before they got drunk to go to war and we put E on the begin and H in the end because we love Meshuggah too.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

Covero: Because we love this style and we was born to play this

Relentless: It was a challenge for me as both a vocalist, and musician. Endrah has very complicated song structures, and the timings are fun to fit lyrics over. The songs are not uniform, and the raw intensity, and natural hybrid genre sound lured me right in.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Relentless: I had met Billy Graziadei at Biohazard shows before, but just as a fan back then. I did not meet the other guys until I came to Brazil.  The Brazilian guys knew each other from the underground metal and hardcore scene in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Relentless: Iron Maiden.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Relentless: Life inspires me, as well as strong subject matter that I encounter which we write about in our songs.

Covero: A lot of things, here in Brazil we have too much violence on the streets and we see a lot of shit. We love to fight too, and we train jiu jitsu muay thai boxe and we like to put this aggressiveness in our music. I hold a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and our bassist Adriano has a black best in Muay Thai Boxing.

6. Where was your last gig?  

Relentless: The Caieiras Metal Fest 2 near Sao Paulo, Brazil. We headlined an all-day festival. It was a great show.

7. Where would you like to act?  

Relentless: We would love to perform more all over the world where metal and hardcore bands have been before.  U.S.A., Europe, U.K, Japan, Canada, China, India, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Colombia, Argentina, etc

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Endrah can fit in with many bands.  Relentless: We want to tour with bands that will help Endrah grow more known around the world. The bigger metal and hardcore bands would be great!

Covero: Meshuggah , Slayer , Iron Maiden , Deicide , Cannibal Corpse , Metallica

9. Whom not?  

Relentless: We have no band enemies to speak of, but we always want to take opportunities that will grow Endrah, and sometimes that means performing or touring with a band that is not a perfect fit for us musically or not a perfect match backstage, but we are open minded musicians, and we will go where our best opportunities come from.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Relentless: We have no fear of stage. The only thing is some anxiety if the crowd is very large, or if the sound system is having problems. We love to perform!The best thing to do to avoid stage fright is to be very well-rehearsed in your music and show. When you are not prepared, that is when you should be scared, and expect mistakes to occur. Being in Endrah, and living 6,000 miles away from Sao Paulo, Brazil, I have to show up rehearsed as best I can from doing my own rehearsals alone at my home. It is very hard because I do not get to rehearse much with the band in person, so when we do tours, I usually get 1 or 2 rehearsal practices with the band before we hit big stages. You must be able to deal with adversity and be prepared for anything.

Covero: In the underground shit happens , I don't remember one case in special but stay prepared and training jiu jitsu and muay thai is what we do.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Covero: I started listening to Kiss , Iron Maiden , Slayer, and Metallica

Relentless: Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer, Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Dillinger Escape Plan, Ignite, Downset, Pantera

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

Covero: To put on the Culling album liner notes bad words about his mother

Relentless: To sign my autograph on a fake head that a fan was carrying around to the show.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

Relentless: We appreciate our fans very much, and they have been a pleasure to perform for. They keep us going.

Covero: Ours fans are sick mother-fuckers , crazy , and love waiting for Endrah to put our angry and aggressive music out.

14. What do you think of our site?

Relentless: Very nice! We love sites that promote heavy music like metal and hardcore. Thanks for your work! We appreciate you.
