Falling Dice - Interview

In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Metalcore band Falling Dice from Italy, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them.We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We planned it. We chose this name because we wanted to create unpredictable songs without a set scheme.This is exactly what happen when you roll the dice, you never know which the result would be. This is our spirit, while we compose we never know what the song will became.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Like I told in the previous answer, we planned to play without a specific genre. But we love Breakdown. Breackdown is the best thing invented by metalcore, it’s the mark of this genre. It must to be between the styles of our songs. We chose to use it but not abuse it, we don’t really like bands who use too many breakdown. This is the reason why we define us metalcore.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

The bassist and the drummer know each other, they live in the same village and they played in the same band before Falling Dice “born”. Mirko and me arrived in the band some times later thanks to an internet announcement.

4. Each band member favourite band?

I’m listening some new release to make me an idea of the new direction of the soundscape, but my favourite bands are: The Human Abstract, Monument, Attila, Parkway Drive and In Flames. Choby likes Primus and Sikth. Delfo: Rise Against and Pennywise. Instead Mirko listen Djent, doesn’t metter what.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I take my inspiration from emotions and situation about human being, good and bad. The texts are almost autobiographic, every song was written in a different period of my life, but even if they tell about me, I always try to describe everybody’s emotions , so our public can identify itself.

6. Where was your last gig?

It was in Milan, Italy, for the release of our album, and it was fucking amazing! A lot of crazy people

7. Where would you like to act?

We have played in some club in North of Italy. Now we’d like to play in foreign countries and maybe in some famous festival.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Honestly we didn’t think about it, because we think we are not enough famous to do a featuring.

9. Whom not?

Vasco Rossi and Ligabue… Sorry man!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

No we haven’t, but before go on stage we are very charged. I think the best way to beat the stage fright is to revise the songs more than you can and most of all being close with the other components of the band.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Maybe the bands we want to pattern are: Mudvayne, Destrage and Protest The Hero, because they are all sortable like metal even if they’ve created their own genre.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

When someone ask us about a signature, we absolutely don’t feel up. Otherwise the time a drunk down the stage, request us to play a Led Zeppelin song.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We are just getting to know them, because before the album and the video release we don’t have that much (we started to play 2 years ago). At live, we see always new faces, and they seem to have fun, so we are happy.

14. What do you think of our site?

It is a very good showcase to spread our music and we are happy to be here, so thanks to our producer.
