Hazing - Interview

In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Pop Punk/Punk Rock band Hazing from USA, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them.We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name?  

It was kinda random. The word hazing was brought up in conversation and it seemed to fit us as a band name.

2. As I saw in your bandcamp profile, your music is tagged as Pop Punk/Punk Rock, why did you decide to play those genres?  

We chose those genres because that's what we listen to and are inspired by.

3. The band is composed by Josh, Brennan, Ed, Mickey and Vivid, but has it always been the same line-up?  

Actually, yes, we have stayed the same line up the whole time we have been a band.

4. Each band member's favorite  band?  

Mickey's favorite is blink-182, Josh is Pity Sex, Ed is Brand New, Jojo (aka vivid) is Giraffes? Giraffes! and Brennan is The Smashing Pumpkins.

5. When you want to write a new song what things inspire you? Does everyone participate in the creation of the songs?  

Life experiences are the biggest influences on our music. We all participate in the writing process to make sure the songs represent all of us in a way we want to be represented. Occasionally one of us will show up with an idea but we will fine tune it and piece it together as a band. We also take a kinda old school approach to making music. We don't start with a computer composed song that one member did by themselves like some bands do. Though that method works very well, it's just not our thing. We prefer to start with a guitar riff or rhythm and just jam it out.

6. Where was your last gig?  

We played a house show on Halloween. It was a ton of fun and lots of people came out in costume.

7. Where would you like to play?  

Everywhere.

8. What can you say about this new opportunity of being signed to InVogue Records?  

We are beyond stoked to be in the InVogue family! We are also ready to work harder than we ever have in our lives.

9. How do you see the band in 10 years?  

Hopefully on tour still loving what we do.

10. Has any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Stage fright is part of it, gotta learn to deal with the pressure. Not sure if we have any advice on it, just drive right in and try to not be uncomfortable on stage.

11. When you started Hazing,what bands inspired the project?  

Brand New, Balance and Composure, The Story So Far and Blink-182 were probably the biggest influences.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you?

We haven't really had a weird encounter with a fan, though we did play a DIY show in a trailer park in Nebraska. It was kinda weird, but will be remembered as one of our favorite shows we met a lot of cool people.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

We prefer to call them friends.

14. Have you ever checked Breathing The Core? What can you say about it?  

It's our first time checking you guys out!! We really appreciate what you are doing for bands like us!
