None Of Us - Interview

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We didn't plan it. We were just searching for the name of our band, and a real friend of us, Alberto Penzin, former bassist and founder of one of the greatest thrash metal band in Italy, Schizo, found it. We liked it and that's it.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

It's what We like to play, it flows from the veins, not from the brain. We really can't name it 'alternative rock', somebody else does it. We don't need to name what We play, it's 'none of us' to us.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, We were friends, then became bandmates. We keep our friendship stronger than all, and this friendship keeps our music honest and True.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Uhm, it's not so simple, but: dani's favourite band is Deftones, mine (Filippo) is Pink Floyd, Davide's Sigur Ros, Peppe's Faith No More, Giacomo's Karate.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Life is what inspire us: Davide (our singer) plays some stuff on guitar, then shows and let me hear it, so I can play My stuff on it. Only when this process turns into a 'verse, verse, chorus, bridge', a song form, you know, We gets it through the rest of the band. a little bit long, but it works.

6. Where was your last gig?

A really small place, near our birthood, where We still live, Catania, Sicily. great gig, mate!

7. Where would you like to act?

Astoria, London but I guess it's closed.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Dave Grohl, only to have some beers with, not necessary to play with.

9. Whom not?

I don't know, Andrea Bocelli, maybe. He plays music without guitars. and I guess he doesn't drink beer.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We don't. We love the stage. That's the main reason because we play together. We record music just to play it on the stage in front of the audience. you know, If you're scared about playin' on stage, well you really have a big problem with your business. Anyway, the only trick I know is, take a look on the drummer, if he's killing it, you have to kill it twice.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Deftones, At The Drive In, Pink Floyd, Prince, Foo Fighters, Hendrix, Chet Baker.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

To pump my guitar louder than it was: it was already on ten

13. What do you think of your fans?

They're lovely. they really love us, support us sincerely. I guess they're deaf.

14. What do you think of our site?

Amazing, but I didn't find my photo on it!
