Spoken - Interview

In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Rock/Post-Hardcore band Spoken from USA, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

The band actually started playing shows before we had a name, and we didn't know what to call ourselves when people asked, so we had a quick 2 minute conversation about band names. Since Deftones was already taken, we settled on Spoken. (Matt)

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

Spoken sounded a bit different at the time of its inception, but over the years our favorite bands and personal tastes have changed. I guess the easiest way to answer this question is because we like playing aggressive music. (Matt)

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Yeah, we all grew up in the same town together. (Matt)

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Matt & Scoop - Keith Urban

Isaiah - Tesseract

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I'm inspired by life situations; a song can be written about anything we experience. (Matt)

6. Where was your last gig?  

Uprise Festival in Shippensburg PA this past September. (Matt)

7. Whom would you like to feature with?  

I’m assuming feature means play, I’d say Metallica or Thrice.

8. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

I can’t remember, probably when I was teenager. The best way is simply to jump in. Preparation always sets the stage for success.

9. What bands have inspired you the most?  

Metallica, Bon Jovi, Skid Row, Keith Urban and U2

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

This is a hard question to answer, at this point everything weird seems kinda normal.

10. What do you think of your fans?

Our fans are the best. I know every band says that, but it's true with our fans. (Matt)
