Thresholds - Interview
In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Deathcore band Tresholds from USA, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
- Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
Jeno: We started throwing around ideas of what would be a good fit for the type of music we play and we landed on Thresholds,” said Jake Saghi, bassist. “It’s all about pushing boundaries, musically and emotionally.”
- Why did you want to play this genre?
This genre is one of the only remaining ones that has not been taken over by the mainstream media,” said Dakota Adams, vocalist, “It allows us to put out our own message in a way that we want to, and it gives us a huge creative outlet.”
- Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Adams: Sort of. Some of us met our freshman year of college at Belmont University and Jake (Saghi) and Jeno are brothers. We went through a few members changes and that’s when Jake Ward and Alex became a part of the band,” said Adams. “Jake (Ward) and I were actually in a different band together before we joined Thresholds,” said Alex Drelich, guitarist. “Yeah Jeno was actually the only one who had not met anyone else in the band before joining….except his brother of course.
- Each band member favourite band?
Jeno: Slipknot” Jeno Saghi
Drelich: Mastadon
Jake: Korn
Jake S: Beartooth
Adams: The Plot In You
- Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Adams: Mostly personal experience. We merge the music and lyrics together in a way that portrays each songs particular emotion well.
- Where was your last gig?
Jake S: Nashville, Tennessee at a venue called the End,” said Jake Saghi, “We opened for Suicide Silence.
- Where would you like to act?
Jeno: Any festival crowd really.
Adams: Soundwave, I’d also love to play anywhere in the Scandinavian region.
Jake S: Warped Tour.
Jake: Red Rocks” Jake Ward
“Chainreaction” Alex Drelich
- Whom would you like to feature with?
Slipknot or Korn.
- Whom not?
Nickelback.
- Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Adams: I think everyone has at some point or another,” said Drelich. “Honestly, the best way to beat it is to just get up there and do your thing. Make it about yourself.
- What bands have inspired you the most?
Slipknot, Bring Me The Horizon, The Plot In You, Korn, Sworn In, Yuth Forever, Deftones, Northlane, Like Moths to Flames, Barrier, The Used, Counterparts, My Chemical Romance, Yuth Forever, Underoath, The Word Alive, blessthefall, Tool, Every time I Die, Beartooth, Suicide Silence, Whitechapel, Touché Amore, Pianos Become the Teeth, The Mars Volta, Stray From the Path, Code Orange, System of a Down, Nirvana, Born of Osiris, Avenged Sevenfold, Blink-182 etc…There are just so many.
- What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Adams: Nothing too weird yet, but I do have fans who come to where I work and ask if I’m there or not.
Jeno: Would you like to joust with these crutches?
- What do you think of your fans?
Adams: We think our fans are great. I love seeing familiar faces at shows and knowing they are sharing our music with other people. They keep the scene alive in Nashville.
Drelich: It’s awesome hearing people request songs and watching them sing along.
- What do you think of our site?
Adams: We think the website’s great! It’s cool how frequently you post stuff and help give bands exposure.
- Something to add?
Jake: We just released our debut album “Ouija” in October, so everyone should go pick that up!
