Feign - Interview

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Well I know I didn’t want another plural noun like every other band that was starting at the time was doing. I wanted something that was one word, and was something nobody had used at all. I guess it just came to mind. The definition we “intend” for it to mean when used to refer to the band is as a synonym for “Betrayal”.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We simply are angry people that love playing angry music, and loved the idea of it at the time before starting. It relieves stress, and provides so much excitement.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We were acquantances.

4. Each band member favorite band?

Mine is probably Impending Doom. I believe Devin’s is Ruckus.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Listening to different music of different genres is ultimately what inspires the writing process initially. The emotions, and hardships we go through on a day to day basis within our personal lives fuels this.

6. Where was your last gig?

Walter’s in downtown Houston.

7. Where would you like to act?

The White Rabbit.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

The Last Ten Seconds of Life/The Acacia Strain

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We always get nervous ahead of time getting on stage. Always have just told myself that the set is my time to relieve my stress and have fun, and it’s the same for everybody else in the audience. There’s no reason to worry about the negative, just focus on having fun.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Aegaeon, Impending Doom, Demolisher, Oceano.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Nothing to answer.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We greatly appreciate the amount of un-ending support from our fans over the past few years, and we hope we keep improving for everyone.
