Interviews: Harbourage

In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Hardcore band Harbourage from Germany, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them.We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We decided to choose Harbourage, because we want our music to be a shelter for our listeners. Our music should be the their 'harbour' to rest their heads on. And we did choose Harbourage because it doesn't occur often, of course.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Actually we wanted to go in a complete different direction. We were having some beers and jamming some ideas and that's the result. In general we didn't want to do exactly the same as our former bands did. It's still metal/hardcore, because that's our musical home, but there are many different influences from other genres like stoner/doom, punk, etc.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes. We're from the same local scene at our home area, we're good friends for a long time and we've been playing together in various bands.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Manu: Vales

Eugen: At the moment Battra

Felix: That's a hard one, but Led Zeppelin.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Satan! No, just kiddin'! The music/bands we're listening to, our experiences in life, society etc.

6. Where was your last gig?

We played near our hometown Ulm in south germany at a youth club. Nice show with good friends.

7. Where would you like to act?

We don't have a specific 'where' we want to act at, but there's more a 'how': not giving a fuck about anything!

We want to write, play, act just like we want to. And if this lifestyle gets us to shows around the globe, that's fine with us. ;-)

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Scooter!

9. Whom not?

David Guetta! Sorry Dave, you can't have us!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Pre-show beers! Of course we had stagefright, escpecially before big shows. But you get used to it the more gigs you play. And beginners should always remember: nobody gets mad if you make a mistake or laughs at you. It just shows that you are human.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

For Harbourage's music bands like Defeater, No Omega, Grieved, Stray From The Path, Every Time I Die, Meshuggah and many others have a big influence.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

That's x-rated!

13. What do you think of your fans?

Music lovers with a special taste for special music. And the best human beings on earth because they like what we do!

14. What do you think of our site?

Your site is awsome, because you feature us!! Seriously, your site is great because even small bands like us get the chance to show their music without any commercial disadvantages. And that's what music should be all about, a great community of music lovers!
