Interviews: Grayscale Season

In this new occasion we have the awesome opportunity to interview the Metalcore band Grayscale Season from Sweden, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them.We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Richard: The name pretty much just came out of the blue, but is somewhat rooted in the fact that we live in the north and the weather is pretty gray here.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

Richard: Yes, we had a clear vision from the beginning and are now just striving for expanding that sound.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Richard: We all knew each other before from school and through mutual friends, then we met Adam through his old band and just really clicked.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Richard: 36 Crazyfists

Adam: P.O.D

Eddie: The Acacia Strain

Axel: Converge

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Richard: When Axel (drums) and I are alone in the rehearsal room, we just trigger and inspire each other to create the best music that we can create, based on the mood that day. So some days we can't write anything, and the next several songs can start to form.

Adam: When Eddie (vocals) and I write the lyrics we have different approaches, Eddie draws his inspiration from his life and surroundings and I usually stumble across terms or topics that interests me.

6. Where was your last gig?  

Adam: We played just last weekend at Sticky Fingers in Gothenburg, loads showed up and it was a great night

7. Where would you like to act?  

Richard: We would love to go to the states and perform.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

Adam: Anyone from the bands mentioned above would be awesome.

9. Whom not?  

Adam: Hard one, I can't really think of one...

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Adam: I did a show a couple of years ago it was quite a big deal, so I vomited 2-3 times before and felt like crap... Then I went on stage and within 10 seconds, that fear was gone. And my advice is to not let fear cripple you, and don't let others trigger you and don't trigger others. Fear grows like a cancer and swallows you whole.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

Richard: The Acacia Strain and Deftones are big inspirations overall and there's a touch of Title Fight in there.

Adam: It's hard to say any specific bands, but we are quite diverse when it comes to the music that we draw inspiration from, for me, I like more of alternative pop/rock and that sort of thing, Axel loves this math and grindcore. Eddie is big into hiphop.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

Adam: We haven't been around for long enough or released enough music to be able to say that we have any fans that could have asked us for any weird things yet.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

Richard: We have been talking to a lot of awesome people over the course of a few months and the response has been incredible, there are so many metal lovers out there and they are treating us extremely well.

14. What do you think of our site?

Richard: The site is great, it has a very easy and nice layout. You get the latest music news instantly. Great job!
