Interviews: MISERY

In this new occasion we have the awesome opportunity to interview the Modern Metal/Metalcore band MISERY from France, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them.We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

MISERY was chosen after a long discussions between the members of the band and is also a reference to the film « MISERY » from Stephen King.

But we finally get this name and thought that it was great because this project has knew a lot of "miseries " since those early days. But it's still growing along and we have a lot of ambitions to climb a little bit more higher and many projects will be accomplished to turn fans crazy and playful to listen our music sound once again !!!!

2.Why did you want to play this genre? 

So we came from various Musical experience (black métal,néo-métal,deathcore ect...) and i'm honest with you we have many influences to make our sound.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

MISERY was formed by 6RE9 Lorenc. He has worked before with Smus (vocals) and me (Guitar).

Our drummer is a friend of our singer so included him to the line up with us and our bass player join the project after a meeting with me. We've worked a long time together before playing our first shows and broadcast our first sound with the video clip « We Will Be brave »

4.Each band member favourite band? 

As i say before,we have many influences about music and sounds. We may as well listen bands like Korn,Deftones,Down,Parkway Drive,New kids on the Block,Architects,Gojira.

5.Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We have no rules and we make a music which comes from our way of living,way of thinking and the most important ,our emotions. Everybody knows that the most important is to make people feel exactly what you want through the music thanks to emotions.... Sounds reveals a mix a so many feelings that let you know what the song means to the players and then to the listeners.

6.Where was your last gig?

That was in Paris a few weeks ago but a this time we'll take the road to make a show in Rennes at « The Mondo Bizarro » and another next day in Poitiers at « The 23 Club » this month.

We have no limits to make shows..We don't want to stay only in our town or Country.We're ready to travel in Europe and more to have fun and to make our followers happy to discover us in live for the first time or for a new gig together again.

7.Where would you like to act?

It doesn't really matter untill we play on scene face to an amazing public most of time. But we like playing our shows in medium areas like « The Batofar »because we have a special movie scene. However,playing in « Hellfest » in clisson would be a great thing for us.

8.Whom would you like to feature with and whom not?

It Also doesn't really Matter..Some people wants to play with Architects,Down and others..

I think that we were already lucky to play with « THE ARRS » and « ANGEL DUST » and we're waiting for other shows because we have contacts to play again with other bands. There's no limits untill it's the same kind of pleasure to share music scene with guys who like extremely what they do.

9.Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Yes of course because we always want to do our best for the public. When we take place to make our show we're deconnecting from life and other things and we try to take pleasure.

We are talking a lot together about everything and we are laughing all the time. This is our motivation. If we have the chance to be a team and before playing we always say this thing : « All the crew or NOTHING !!!! »

10.What bands have inspired you the most?

As i say before,many bands have inspired us but all the people who listen them say that we have our own personality, We can't say that we sound like another band. A few people say that it's close to Gojira or Architects but all we do is our music, that's all..

11.What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

It's incredible when people want to take a picture with you, want your pick or your drum sticks.

Or when a girl wants you to autograph her bra! That's our best memory

12.What do you think of your fans?

They're so incredible!!! They make us happy to play music mostly when we know that they make a long way to see us. One of them took the road during 3 hours just to see us on stage for a gig, so what can you say about that ?Just THANK YOU !!!

13.What do you think of our site?

Honestly,i didn't know you before and i'd like to say that you are doing a great job for bands.You allow us to be discovered by many fans that maybe would never heard about us before you let them know we were existed. We just want to congratulate you for this.
