In this new occasion we have the awesome opportunity to interview the Hardcore/Metalcore band This Fall from Italy, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them.We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Did you plan it or came out just like that?

This Fall were born on Dcp ashes. During these years we grow up, we met many people, we experienced several kinds of music, we learnt to write lyrics in a very different way; overall, we felt we were changing, and that’s why we took this new life. We looked for a name that could contain and express all these issues at the same time: “fall” in a new world to discover, but also “fall” as the season of the maturity process.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Our music can be classified between metalcore, hardcore, metal, post hardcore, but we don’t like actually closing ourselves in a single genre. We love listening to various bands, artists and styles, and when we write and play our songs we don’t mind if a riff or a lyrics sounds in a specific way, or if it’s “out of genre”, or something like this. Do we like it? We play it. That’s what we love to do.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, we are friends in daily life, and so we always have been even before the band was formed. Come says: “I followed them when they were an oi! band”, but what about a youtube video with three young guys playing “Lunga vita ai ribelli oi!” in a small rehearsal room?

4. Each band member favourite band?

It’s so hard to choose one! If we have to do it we would say Parkway Drive, Rage Against The Machine and Iron Maiden.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Our personal lives and experiences inspire our songs: we write about our dreams, our passions, our rage, our fears and our hopes. And also about stories we heard, people we met on the way, as in a book or in a song.

6. Where was your last gig?

A couple of weeks ago we played on Garda Lake in a squat called Zanzanù: an old and forsaken restaurant with private beach (sic!) which a young crew gave new life to.  It was amazing!

7. Where would you like to act?

We definitely enjoy and prefer small places and stages, without any barrier, where fans can live the show in very close contact with the band.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We would like to feature with Ruggero dei Timidi.

9. Whom not?

U2 and Bono Vox.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Ehm… actually there’s one of us who still suffers from stage fright. And from pre-show anxiety too. But it’s something that goes away with the fun and the mood we live our gigs with, and after the first chord stage fright gives space to the energy we feel and we try to share. That’s what we suggest: enjoy music, completely, ‘cause a gig is not an examination. And playing in a band is not playing alone.

11. Which bands have inspired you the most?

There are different bands that gave us inspiration: Parkway Drive, Raised Fist, The Claw, Skruigners, Spranga, Sick Of It All, Nabat, The Ghost Inside. And many many more.

12 . What’s the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We were on stage, and we were getting ready for the gig, when a fan came to our drummer Pago and asked him if we would have played our version of “Walk like an Egyptian”, ‘cause he loved it so much. Pago answered him that we wouldn’t have played it that evening, and he apologized to him for it.  (we haven’t ever played nor wrote any version of “Walk like an Egyptian”)

13. What do you think of your fans?

Do we really have fans? ;)

14. What do you think of our site?

We really appreciate your site and your work, it’s great. That’s a very good chance for underground bands to be known, to share their music and to get in touch with other bands, labels, etc…

15. Something to add?

We would like to thank you so much for the interview and for the support you’re giving us.

Thanks to all bands, people and labels that believe in DIY as a clear choice. Thanks to you, who are reading this. Support Breathing The Core. Support the bands. Go to the gigs.
