Interviews: Wildways

In this new occasion we have the awesome opportunity to interview the Metalcore band Wildways from Russia, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them.We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Actually since 2009, our band played under the “Sarah Where Is My Tea”. In spring of 2014, we announced that we changed personally and we decided to change the band name. We were on European tour and every day we wrote any ideas and variants of future band name in the notes. So, that’s how we got the name “Wildways”. It sounds cool for us!

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

All of us just listen hard music from childhood and that’s how we get this passion. You know, when you live and listen to this kind of music day by day and year by year you definitely will know what you and your heart really love.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

No, we didn’t know ourselves before the band. Also we live in other Russian cities.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

If you mean a whole live, it’s a hard question because every time we love different music and listening to different stuff day by day. But for now:

Toli: The Amity Affliction

Kery: Twenty One Pilots.

Slava: Chon, Polyphia, Issues.

Sergey: The Ghost Inside.

Harry: Rancid.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Slava: Events, moments and people from my life.

Toli: My personal experiences, emotions, problems. Yeah, and also every time I can get inspire by night, cause I so much love this time when I can be alone, with myself. The night silence and darkness inspire me every time. And for sure, my broken heart - that’s my biggest inspiration. But that’s not about all our songs, haha. “Faka Faka Yeah” for example was written just because we got an amazing riff idea.

6. Where was your last gig?  

Moscow, Russia with Asking Alexandria.

7. Where would you like to act?  

All the way Australia! Super long way from Russia, blowing our minds when we think about it. Another world!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

Right now Issues, Pvris, Sleeping With Sirens, BMTH and many more

9. Whom not?  

Haha, there’re a lot of Russian bands =) You don’t know em.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Toli: Honestly, I can’t say that I feel worry every time before the show but sometimes it can happen, yeah. I don’t know why but before small shows mostly. Don’t know what I can say to beginners, just forget about all and do what you have to do!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

Kery: Blink 182, All Shall Perish, Slipknot.

Slava: Linkin Park, Mudvayne, P.O.D, Fear Factory.

Toli: Linkin Park, System Of A Down, Bring Me The Horizon, Suicide Silence

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

Slava: One girl asked me about 1 day relationship after the show.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

They all really means a lot for us cause they’re only people who help us to do what we do and motivate us every day.

Looks amazing! But will be better with our new album review, haahaa.
