Interviews: The Atlas Frame
In this new occassion we have had the pleasure to interview the Metalcore/Post-Hardcore band The Atlas Frame, from Switzerland. Check out this band because they are amazing and do not forget to follow them in their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
We came up with a few ideas for a name which we considered for a while. „The Atlas Frame“ turned out to be the one causing the most discussions within the band. Everyone has their very own intension about the expression „The Atlas Frame“ and what it exactely should mean. This is the reason why we decided to choose it in the end.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
Because we think the wide range of possibilities in Post Harcore suits best for the messages we want to bring across.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
No, we didn’t know each other before the band was formed.
4. Each band member favourite band?
Luke (vocals): I The Mighty
Remo (lead guitar): Annisokay
Beni (rhythm guitar): A Day To Remember
Silvan (bass): Adept
Dave (drums): Behemoth
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Personal experiences, our surroundings, social evils, crisis situations…
6. Where was your last gig?
We’ve been very busy working on our deput EP since the band was formed. Now we are about to finish that project, and we are planning the first shows as a band.
7. Where would you like to act?
A big goal of ours is to play at the Greenfield festival one day. Greenfield is the biggest rock- and metal festival in Switzerland.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
We’d love to work with Dave Grohl, because he is such a passionate musician and he seems to have a great personality as well. We could definetely learn a thing or two from him.
9. Whom not?
We wouldn’t collaborate with people who are making music just because of commercial reasons.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Everyone of us had to deal with a kind of stagefright in our projects before „The Atlas Frame“ was formed. We think it is a sign that you are ready to give it all on stage. What might help to overcome stagefright is to remind yourself of why you’re doing what you’re doing. As long as it’s passion and the will to have fun is driving you, you’ll be fine as soon as you enter the stage. Being a little nervous is totally normal though.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
There are many bands that inspire us, but we’re doing our best to create something new.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Since we went public about two weeks ago with, we haven’t got any weird fan requests yet so. But we are looking forward to it!
13. What do you think of your fans?
We really appreciate everyone who likes and supports our band, as well as our music scene. The best thing which can happen to us, is, if someone can truly identify themselves with our songs, especially with our lyrics.
14. What do you think of our site?
We think it’s a really good way to give bands a platform. Young bands like us are in need to reach some people and show the world what they’re all about.
15. Something to add?
