Interviews: Behind The Lights

In this new occassion we have had the pleasure to interview the Metalcore/Hardcore band Behind The Lights, from Sweden. Check out this band because they are amazing and do not forget to follow them in their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

Johannes and Erik had some discussions back and forth for a while and Johannes said that he had a fitting name.  Right when he said Behind The Lights we knew that it was the right one.   

2.Why did you want to play this genre?   

Everyone except Sebastian played in this genre before so it was kind of a natural fit for Behind The Lights as well.  

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?   

Sebastian and Johannes knew eachother for a couple of years before Sebastian joined because they went to school together. Johannes and Erik are brothers so they've known each other for quite some time.  

4. Each band member favourite band?   

Erik: Periphery 

Sebastian: Metallica  

Jonas: Avenged Sevenfold 

Anton: As I Lay Dying 

Johannes: Texas In July  

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?   

We try to draw inspiration mostly from eachother, things that happen around the world and some sort of a feeling.  

6. Where was your last gig?   

Uppsala on the Swedish part of our Skyline Tour.  

7. Where would you like to act?   

We would like to play wherever people want to come see us.  

8. Whom would you like to feature with? 

It would be pretty sick to do a tour with bands like August Burns Red, Of Mice & Men or Meshuggah.   

9. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?   

Erik tends to get nervous the most, and its usually all day before a gig.  The rest of the guys doesnt seem nervous at all.  Just make sure to have a good time and you'll forget get about the stage fright.  

10. What bands have inspired you the most?   

Bands like Metallica, Bullet For My Valentine, Attack Attack, Adept, KISS, Bad Religion, Avenged Sevenfold and so forth.   

11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?   

That's a good question.  

12. What do you think of your fans?   

Those who support us and call themselves our fans are incredible!
