Interviews: Collide With Your Pride

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Metalcore band Collide With Your Pride, from France. Check out this band because they are amazing and do not forget to follow them in their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you take the idea for the band name, you planned or just came like that? 

Firstly, it came like a reference to Pierce The Veil « Collide With The Sky », and we felt like  it sounded cool. And then, it’s because people insulted us for our look, and our music.  

2. Why did you want to play Metalcore music?

Because it’s powerful, it’s something you can feel from the bottom of your heart, it’s true, and  it’s pretty technical. We can make people feel our rage, but our joy too, this genre let us say  what we want to say, and people can move and jump at our gigs.    

3. Do you know each other before the band was formed?  

Nino (Ed Ashes): With Cyril (Sinners6) we met and we knew from the start we needed to  make this band.  

Kylian (Lecore): Victo (Ty-Dus) and I met on Facebook, and we’ve been playing together a  lot, at the start it was gaming that gathered us, and then Cyril hired Victo and I followed !  

4. Each member favourite bands? 

Kylian: Muse/Escape The Fate/Emarosa  

Victo: Dream Theater/RHCP/SOAD  

Nino: BMTH/PTV/NIRVANA  

Cyril: BVB, Guns N Roses et Lordi  

5. Who or what inspires you to write your songs?  

Mainly, horror movies, and inequalities/injustices. We wanted to make people feel the way we feel  when it comes to that. For the last EP, I (Kylian) wrote a song about the death of one of my friend,  and the whole EP tells a story about a ruined kingdom. 

6. Where was your last gig?

10. Est-ce que vous avez déjà souffert du trac ? Des conseils pour les débutants pour les aider à  dépasser ça ?  

Kylian: Personally I had some stage fright, minutes before the gig, but when you’re on the stage,  you’re really excited, and the will to make everything explode blows everything, so I can’t really say I  suffered from it. Some tips ? Alcohol.  

Cyril: Not really, it’s not stage fright, it’s adrenaline before you walk up to the stage, I have it  everytime, with Collide or in any project I had. You just have to relax, to warm up and drink 2 or 3  beers and rock’n’roll !  

11. What bands have you inspired the most?  

Black Veil Brides, Escape The Fate, Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, Dream Theater, Bullet For My  Valentine…  

12. What´s the weirdest thing a fan ever asked you?  

Kylian: Well, at our first gig, my friends asked me to go naked. Before it goes, when it goes,  and even after. And they bought to me.. granny panties xD  

13. What do you think of your fans?

Cyril: We don’t have a lot of fans but they’re always there, and really happy when we  announce some new songs !  

Victo: Without them, we would be nothing so we owe them absolutly  

Kylian: I don’t know, they’re the best and loyal ? xD 

Nino: They’re not so numerous but they’re really active in concerts.  

14. What do you think of our site? 

It’s a great website, where we can discover plenty of  really cool bands. There is a lot of great bands, and articles are well written and interesting.
