Interviews: Roots Like Mountains

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Agressive Rock band Roots Like Mountains, from USA. Check out this band because they are amazing and do not forget to follow them in their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?    

The band name came for the the idea and belief of being firmly planted in your ways. Unshaken Roots and beliefs.  

2.Why did you want to play this genre?    

We all grew up in and around the genre. We felt a connection with the passion in the music.  

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?    

We didn't know each other at all. We were all connected by previous members and or current members connections.  

4. Each band member favourite band?    

Nathan: Brick & Mortar  

Matty: Underøath  

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?    

We are currently writing a new record. A lot of the influence of this record stems from dealing with internals struggles, past regrets, and current aggravations.  

6. Where was your last gig?    

Our last show was back in February with the incredible dudes in Silent Planet.   We are headed out on a 3 month long engagement starting June 5th 2016 covering the entire US twice on 4 different tours. This summer is gonna be wild!

7. Where would you like to act?    

We would love to head across the pond and play in Europe/ UK.  

8. Whom would you like to feature with?    

We would love to hit the road with bands like Emmure, Asking Alexandria, and if ever possible Beartooth.  

9. Whom not?    

I feel like I should say something like Justin Bieber but I would be lying... Bieber call us!  

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how  to beat that?    

Back we were in the beginning stages of Roots I (Nathan Alexander) struggled with stage fright but quickly overcame the fear by  just being me. At times I'm a goofy dude who gets tripped up, and other times I'm nailing the intense vibe. Be you and you can't go wrong.  

11. What bands have inspired you the most?    

Over All we are inspired by the heavy hitters ADTR, BMTH, and ABR. But recently we have been drawing inspiration from our friends Silent Planet and Open Your Eyes. All insanely talented and incredible role models.  

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?    

We have been fortunate in not having any really weird questions asked of us. We have had someone propose in the middle of our set though... She said yes!  

13. What do you think of your fans?    

Our fans are the life blood of Roots Like Mountains they truly are the reason why we do what we do. We think our fans are the most supportive and wild bunch out there! We are stoked to see some old and new faces this summer!
